Currently ,Many children go astray during the time they grow up. There is a heated debate whether the children should be taught by their parents to be good members of society, while others believe it is the school responsibility to handle this task. I will attempt to analyze the pros and cons about these issues. Some people think it is the responsibility of the parents to teach the children good behavior. The main reason is that children often like imitating their parents’behavior.Whatever parents do ,their children will follow these. They have to be the role models the children can learn from. Moreover ,parents have long time to get along with their children ,they know more about what the children want to have and the children’s personality than other people.Parents have the advantage to teach their children best. They can make proper plans for their children and train them to be going members of society. By contrast, Others may claim that schools are the best place educate children to be good members of society. Apparently, children mainly acquire knowledge from school. Compared with their parents ,they believe what their teachers say.And what’s more, school often has good atmosphere to cultivate children to be a good member of society. Most importantly, teachers in school have scientific methods to educate children.Children can communicate with their peers about how to be a good member and learn some good advantages from their peers. Having considered the arguments on both sides of the debate,I believe that children should be helped to become active and able members of that society by not only their parents but also schools.I would suggest that every member of a society should take responsibility for helping the younger generation to be good members of society.
