The overall completion and success of this project is due to the efforts of several individuals. I would therefore like to thank those who assisted and contributed to the projects’ success.
Firstly, I would like to thank my mother for providing the necessary tools required to do this research some of which including; printing paper, printing ink, the transportation and the sleepless nights she encountered in ensuring that the project was properly assembled. I would also like to thank the residents of the Manley meadows community for answering and safely returning the questionnaires which played a major role in the outcome of the project. Lastly, but definitely not least I would like to thank my teacher Mrs. Sanders for her continuous support and the willingness and interest showed during the process of the projects’ completion.
Statement of the problem
How do natural disasters affect residents of the Manley Meadows community.
Over the past years there have been various natural disasters affecting residents of the Manley Meadows community in Kingston Jamaica, which have caused various damages to the communities infrastructure. These Natural disasters have occurred in various sorts;
As a result of these observations, I have decided to conduct a research which will highlight the effects of natural disasters and how they affect the members of the Manley Meadows community, and also find possible solutions of better ways members can prepare for Natural disasters.
Method of investigation
The researcher has decided to use the method of questionnaire in order to ascertain the relevant information for this research, the various questionnaires will be prepared an dropped in the mail boxes of houses; randomly selected, the questionnaires will then be collected at a later date and the information collected will be analyzed.
