There are different forms of social media, each with a primary purpose. For example:
Bloggs: Is web site base with no online membership. Internet users post short articles, and press releases. This media is capable of reaching large audiences through texting, Video images, and links to other related media.
Social Net Working Sites: yet another popular virtual community, such as, My Space, and Face book. Both sites can be used to upload pictures, videos, post messages, and create a personal profile.
The Mobile Phone: has evolved over the years. Some phones are now capable of doing all the mentioned above.
2 One of the greatest benefits of social media is the ability to access individuals by interacting through web conferencing, sharing pictures, gathering information from the internet, building virtual communities, and relationships. Internet users are able to communicate information on a global scale quickly, and receive a timely response. Social media has extended its roots into all other aspects of the media, such as movies, music, books, newspapers, marketing and othe... In the past businesses such as Tower Records, use to play a major role in selling every type of music. Stores have gone out of business because of the way in which the distribution of music has changed. Apart from existing record stores and retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy, 10% of the music sales come from music clubs. The internet has become a major music retailer in more ways than one, on web sites and digital down loads.
