I. Pendahuluan
1.1. Latar Belakang
Sistem informasi adalah suatu sistem dalam suatu organisasi yang mempertemukan kebutuhan pengolahan transaksi harian yang mendukung fungsi operasi organisasi yang bersifat manajerial dengan kegiatan strategi dari suatu organisasi untuk dapat menyediakan kepada pihak luar tertentu dengan informasi yang diperlukan untuk pengambilan keputusan. Penggunaan sistem informasi merupakan salah satu strategi perusahaan untuk dapat lebih kompetitif dalam bidangnya. Teknologi informasi akan mendukung terciptanya suatu sistim informasi yang di butuhkan oleh konsumen, sementara definisi dasar yang membentuk sistem informasi itu sendiri adalah data, informasi dan sistem informasi. Perkembangan teknologi informasi di dunia tak dapat dipisahkan dengan perkembangan teknologi komputer. Peningkatan kemampuan komputer yang amat pesat dan dapat digambarkan sebagai suatu kuantum dalam perkembangan teknologi, sangat membantu perkembangan teknologi informasi
Bank merupakan lembaga perantara keuangan memberikan jasa-jasa keuangan baik kepada pihak yang membutuhkan dana dan pihak yang memiliki dana. Bank melakukan beberapa fungsi dasar dan tetap menjalankan kegiatan rutinnya di bidang keuangan. Kegiatan perbankan ini, ditunjang oleh sistem informasi yang memberikan aplikasi –aplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung kegiatan oprasional. Dalam dunia Perbankan keberadaan sistem informasi sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjalankan mekanisme dan sistem operasi Bank. Saat ini hampir semua transaksi bisnis memanfaatkan jasa perbankan. Bank memiliki peranan sebagai penghimpun dan penyalur dana masyarakat serta bertujuan untuk menunjang pelaksanaan pembangunan nasional dalam rangka meningkatkan pemerataan pembangunan dan hasil-hasilnya, pertumbuhan ekonomi dan stabilitas nasional, kearah peningkatan taraf hidup rakyat banyak. Selanjutnya adalah media publikasi. Sebagai media publikasi, stasiun-stasiun radio banyak menyiarkan iklan-iklan di sela-sela program mereka yang tentunya telah disepakati sebelumnya. Kemudian adalah fungsi media hiburan. Program-program yang disiarkan oleh radio tidak melulu serius mengenai kemacetan, jalan raya, kecelakaan, dan sebagainya, tetapi stasiun radio juga menyediakan lagu-lagu uang diputar untuk didengarkan oleh orang-orang yang mendengarkannya.
