Not to mention, some people might think that Co-Ed schools are the best schools you can go to. Not only that there is a school called Single-Gender, but also you get better respect in that school. What i am trying to say is single-gender schools are better than Co-Ed schools.

The first reason why Single-Gender schools are better than mixed gender schools is boys and girls are treated differently. In fact, the girls are getting mad at the teachers, because they get less respect than the boys. In the article “Single-Gender Schools Make the Mark” states in paragraph two, “Some people saw this unequal treatments as a serious flaw in the schools.” As can be seen, having unequal treatments can make the girls mad and get transported to another school or move. Again, Phillip Jones states in paragraph one, “... Teachers would praise a boy for yelling out an answer, if a girl yelled out an answer, the teacher will tell her that she should have raised her hand instead.” As shown above, saying that a girl has to raise her hand, and the boy doesn’t have to will probably make a difficult time for the teacher and the school. To summarize, that is why we need different schools for boys and girls. Now let's

The Co-Ed schools make both boys and girls get distracted with each other talking with one and another. In the passage “Co-Ed Schools are Here to Stay” it says in paragraph five, “They admit that the opposite gender can be distracting for students in a Co-Ed classroom.” That tells you they know that the single gender schools will be better with paying attention. If Co-Ed schools stay, a lot of the kids will get in trouble. The passage also states in paragraph five, “Sometimes boys show off around girls…” The boys cause most of the problems with trying to impress a girl to show that you are cool. All students will eventually live and work side by side with the opposite gender, so, why work away from them in school? Those in single gender schools would have a difficult time transitioning into a working environment with the opposite gender. They didn't have opportunities in school to develop social skills and relationships. The students also have a limited amount opportunities to work together cooperatively and coexist successfully with the opposite gender. Having the ability to communicate with the opposite gender will be important in the future. Next, boys who are friends with girls tend to be more comfortable around women in the future. If men are more comfortable around girls than they tend to believe more in women's rights and equality. If we have more men who believe in equal rights for everyone than there could be a lot changes, like changing the wage gap. According to research by the Institute of Education in London, men who went to single gender schools are not only more likely to get a divorce but, more likely to fall into depression. Women's marriages were not affected by the school they went to. Men are going to be more likely to fall into depression because of the stress of finding a happy life. It is very clear that single gender schools are a nuisance in the future of boys. Now last but not least, people need to teach our generation how to respect others for the…

Same sex schools can be down right awful for some students. Depending on how you look at it, the co-ed interaction could be great. Some students need the socialization to live. These types of students thrive on it. They want to be able to learn about the other sex so later in life they will not feel vulnerable when they enter the real world. The real world is clearly full of both men and women. Job atmospheres are almost always co-ed nowadays. Primary-school classrooms with a female majority showed increased academic success for both boys and girls, along with a notable improvement in subjects like science and math. In the middle schools, girls were found to have better academic achievement in English, languages and math. And in high school, the classrooms which had the best academic achievements overall were consistently those that had a higher proportion of girls enrolled. A higher percentage of girls lowers the amount of classroom disruption and fosters a better relationship between pupils and their teacher, a study of the data suggests. Teachers are less tired in classrooms with more girls, and pupils overall seem to be more satisfied when a high female-to-male ratio persists. American educators should reconsider the effects of the new trend of same-sex segregation on different sectors of society. Gains for girls from classroom gender segregation could be offset by the loss of boys.…

Students learn better in segregated classes as it decreases distractions in learning and reduces student behavior problems. Fewer interactions between boys and girls create this sense of less distraction which gradually results in decreasing of student behavior problems as they start learning and listening in class more. Imagine being in a classroom with only the same sex, although there's no distractions from the other gender are you really getting the best education. Are you learning proper social skills? In the article “Why Single-Sex Schools Aren't Best” by Juliet A. Williams, Williams explains that single sex schools started shortly after slavery was abolished. The goal of these schools and classrooms was to keep males and females of different races apart. This separation was meant to strengthen a student's education but what it actually did was hindered learning all together. Single sex schools are harmful to students and their learning because they are based on overbroad stereotypes and gender discrimination.…
