Sherlock Holmes In The Adventure Of The Cardboard Box
In the story of The Adventure of the Cardboard Box, Sherlock Holmes is a Static Protagonist. Sherlock is the leading man through the story so that makes him the protagonist. Sherlock does not change through the story. The reason why Sherlock is a static character is because of the type of story that he is in. The Adventure of the Cardboard Box may have strong characters but that is not the main focus of the story. Sherlock Holmes stories are about the mysteries. Most of the characters in Sherlock’s stories are stereotypes which makes it easier for the reader to grasp the story and where in time the story takes place. It also makes the character of Sherlock Holmes stand out in comparison.

Sherlock Holmes is a very highly regarded character.
