She Is Born With Special Powers In J. L. Coalwell's Amber Grey
J.L. Coalwell's book Amber Grey: calm before the storm, is about a girl who is born with special powers. She has to learn to live with the powers, while not letting anyone know about them. I'm not done with the book yet, but I think a them/purpose of this book is: we are all special in some way. Also, another theme could be: we have to either learn to live with our problems or fix them.
When Amber is born, her knows right away that she is special. When Amber is about 3 her mom,Dara, figures out that there is something weird about her daughter. Dara also knows that her husband, Tom, has been keeping a big secret from her. After her mom figures it out, Amber has to spend a lot of time at her grandparents house. After awhile of going there everyday,

    As the movie begins, Dan and his wife, Beth, go to a company party when he meets Alex Forrest for the first time. The next morning Beth and daughter, Ellen, leave for the weekend to look at a house they are considering moving into while Dan stays at home for a business meeting.
