Senior Trouble Essay
Senior Troubles
Since I have been a senior, I have been through a lot of troubles through out my year so far. I am constantly doing work to make sure I pass senior year, I’m trying to set myself up for college, and I’m most of all worried what I want to do with my future. There is a saying, “your senior year will be the easiest year you will have in high school”. It’s really not; it is the hardest year you will have in my opinion. I am trying to pass my senior year and to do that I need to make sure that I turn everything that I need to do in. It is tough when I have moved around so many times due to living in the military life style. Most of the credits that I have are half credits. I am working my butt of to get the credits that I need to

I chose the marines because school wasn’t helping me figure out what I wanted to do, so I chose to join the military. As a senior, it is imperative that I choose what I want to do with my life because there is little amount of time to decide. As a senior, this is a huge trouble that I have to deal with because in my mind I can do anything that I want but it is very hard for me to focus and its hard for me to think about what I want to do. I get really worried at times because I’m scared that I will never be able to decide what I want to do. Senior year makes my brain fry and I never get the chance to decide what I want to do. Since I chose the marines, that is a choice that is crystal clear.
Senior year has a lot of troubles in it. If someone want to go to college, they need to get everything prepared so that they can be presentable for the college they chose. Passing is a trouble because as a senior, there are more difficult classes at this point in time. But most importantly, students need to decide what to do with their lives that way they can be ready, especially me. If I had to give a speech to upcoming seniors, I would tell them to get everything done as soon as they can because it gets hard being a senior. I would know personally from

A career in the Marine Corps has its roots in my childhood. As a kid, I was always reading one of two types of books. The first type was fantasy books filled with valiant, selfless heroes. The second type was books on planes. My childhood aspirations were to be either a warrior or a jet pilot, but as I grew up I realized I could be both. I could be a Marine. In doing so I could not only fulfill my dreams but my duties to my family and country as well. My parents came to this country with nothing but they still found many opportunities and have lived the American dream. I want to protect this land of opportunity for others, and most importantly, give back to the country that gave my family so much. I also want to repay my family by alleviating…

My decision to join the military in general I believe subconsciously started when my older brother returned from Army basic training. While my brother was a pretty smart guy he had never really been to apply himself nor did he have the drive to, but whatever had happened to him during army basic training had made a change in him; a change for the best. He came back and the transformation was evident in every single one of his actions and thoughts. He had a drive to accomplish all of his goals dreams and aspiration, not only that he had the discipline necessary to stay on his new found path. I went on to college in the fall fallowing his return from basic training not sure if these new traits and strength I saw in him would continue or disappear. When I returned home that fall after my first semester and talked to him and I saw the changes had stayed with him and grown even further. With all that he had used the tools he had been given to accomplish so much in already so little of time. All that stayed in my head, but it did not become relevant to me until my sophomore year of college. I realized that while I was…

The move Amistad and the story “Interesting Narrative of the life of Olaudah Equiano” have many similarities. The three similarities between the story and Amistad are the ways that the slaves were treated, the conditions of the ships, and the reactions of the slaves. There is only a history of this controversy as long as video games have been around, but shorter than that because in videogames early years there were almost no violence in most of the games. Like pong for example you would only hit a ball back and forth, sounds boring right but in actuality it were so popular in its day then something better replaced it (glazer, 2). A never ending sequence where video games will only advance as time goes on. This is an arguable issue because of the belief that video games are bad for you but, there was and is no proof that video games are bad for you. This has been an issue for about as long as the N64 has been around.…

They have been trapped in high school for almost four years now. They trudge through every day, not paying much attention to the time that is flying by. It hasn’t occurred to them how soon they will be out of the prison called high school…until now. Most, if not all, seniors catch a case of senioritis early on in their senior year. Once they have caught senioritis, there is little hope that they will recover, at least not until they receive their high school diploma. Upon catching senioritis, students no longer find joy in the day to day attending of classes. The seniors begin to realize that half of the classes that they are taking won’t matter in the long run of their career ambitions. The awe and terror of what high school was before they started now starts to crumble at the foundation. There are a few exceptions to the contraction of this horrid disease, however. Seniors who get involved come to appreciate the fact that they will no longer be able to attend high school anymore, so they want to make their last year the very best.…

Over the next two years, I will be facing some of the biggest obstacles in my life. High school is considered some of the most important years of a student’s life. There, they decide what field they want to pursue and are taught what they need to know to succeed in their field. By the end of 11th grade, I hope to have a 3.8 GPA and have an ACT score between 34 and 36. I hope to have passed Allied health with flying colors, so that in my senior year I am able to find an internship in a great institution. I also hope to be certified in CPR so that I able to move quickly through college and school. By the end of senior year, I have set my goals that I keep a GPA of 3.8 or higher. I will work to achieving being a great President of HOSA and maintaining the other clubs I am a part of. Still, the most important part of senior year is college applications. By the end of first semester, my goal is to be a future student at the University of Michigan. Yet, I will try to apply to George Washington University, UNC Chapel Hill and University of Pennsylvania. I will apply to the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of…

Once you are a senior in high school, there comes a point where the glorified “disease” senioritis comes into the picture. Senioritis is the lack of care people give for school work and grades when one becomes a senior in high school. It’s basically just procrastination to the fullest effect. Some people claim that the disease started back in freshman year, but in reality those people are just really lazy. I believe that people get senioritis when they feel that they don’t need to keep on learning. I believe that the school system kills the drive for students to excel anymore than they have to.…

Everyone in life will have their own personal obstacles they will have to face in life. Some people will mentally shut down and give up when faced with a challenge. Others will take their challenges and use them to better themselves. The obstacles that I have faced in my life have never hit me harder than they have these past few months. This being my senior year, I always expected it to be the most laid back and relaxing year of my high school career. When in fact I set myself up for one of the biggest challenges of my life so far, by signing up for multiple online college classes, helping out with activities all over the school, and playing football for the first time since freshman year. Although, under all this immense pressure, this is where my true colors came out. I didn’t stop working to my full potential,…

The senioritis problem which revolved around my senior year of high school was a growing one that I did not take note of until I had a major problem on my hands. My senior year started off amazing. It had everything any high school senior would want it to have. The beginning of the school year meant the start of the season for Friday night lights, excessive amounts of school spirit, and bonfires. School was fun, with me thinking very little about the actual academic part of it. My weekday mind was constantly scanning through ideas about what the weekend might hold, or what sporting event I would be attending that night, or the afterschool gym session. The list goes on and on. Autumn and the start of school also meant the sport of archery hunting and the great outdoors for me. I am an avid outdoorsman and love spending my falls in the woods enjoying nature and the changing landscapes. The start of fall and school also meant having the mind of a typical teenage boy. I was thinking about girls and events such as the homecoming dance were constantly flowing through my mind as well. Hunting and being a guy adds just yet more to the list of things that takes up what I think about in my mind. All these things going through my mind at the time…
