12 November 2014 Throughout the group article exercise really did showcase who's personalities were strong and who's personalities were not. Having a strong personality means that you are willing to listen to other people's opinions but will debate on it by logical thinking of how you came across your answer rather than people with not so strong personalities meaning they agree with the group decisions. Through my personality, it will really show how I came across my conclusions, how the group came across their conclusions and how the group is influenced by the decisions made through the online assessments. Throughout each of the personality tests took this semester, there is not much surprise in accordance to the way the results came out. First, in the "Big Five" Test or also known as Five Factor Model for Personality Dimensions, the scores for each category (Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Openness to experience, and extroversion) are absolutely right. Conscientiousness is described as the way in which we control, regulate, and direct our impulses (IPIP-NEO, 2014). In this category, I scored 99/100 (high) which means that I am referred to as reliable and hard-working because I set clear goals and pursue them with determination. Agreeableness reflects individual differences in concern with cooperation and social harmony (IPIP-NEO, 2014). In this category, I scored 46/100 (average) which means that I have some concern with others needs but I am unwilling to sacrifice myself for others. Trust is an attribute that people are not just give but need to earn. Helping other people really does go a long a way it is an enjoyable thing, but when people decide to take advantage of that there is no sympathy. Neuroticism is described as a condition by mental distress, emotional suffering and an inability to cope effectively with normal demands of life (IPIP-NEO,

    I must say that I do agree with the results of the test, but there are some aspects of it that I feel to be untrue. In general, I have to always stay busy and involved with various activities. I like being around people, leading, teaching and stimulating others into positive performances. I also like to act on things as opposed to just talking about it. Other people view me as having an outgoing personality. I also am able to relate to and have friends from all walks of life.     Personality tests are widely used these days in both professional and informal settings. One may take a personality test online, for example; in order to determine how much like a film character they are, or they may take one in an employment process or clinical setting. This essay, however, will only be looking at formal tests. The tests have many uses, including recognizing psychological disorders or calculating future behaviour (Plotnik, 2002).     The Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test was very accurate with the results of my personality type. According to Humanmetrics, ISFJs are characterized by their desire to serve others or “need to be needed.” As far as my strengths are concerned, the test was extremely accurate because I am warm, friendly, and affirming by nature; service-oriented; good listener; excellent organizational capabilities; good at handling money; and taking care of daily needs. However, it was wrong on two of the weaknesses that it listed, which were, difficulty branching out into new territory and difficulty moving on after the end of a relationship. I have moved majority of my life, especially during my entire 20s as an ex-military wife and had to adapt to very different environments all the time. My most recent example would be starting college for the first time in over ten years.     In the first assessment tool “What Is My Basic Personality?” the focus was on the five-factor model of personalities which are-extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience. Based off this evaluation, my basic personality indicates that I am moderately extroverted because I scored a ten. My conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience scores were high with a score of fifteen. My personality does indicate that I am someone who is agreeable because I scored thirteen. According to the analysis and interpretation, a high agreeableness and conscientiousness score indicates someone who “is good-natured, cooperative, and trusting” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9). A high conscientiousness score represents “someone who is responsible, dependable, persistent, and achievement oriented” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9).     After taking the personality test I discovered several things. Based on the test I have high levels of openness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. I also have a moderate level of conscientiousness. I like the fact that I have high levels when it comes to openness, extraversion, and agreeableness.
