2nd week of sim lab, we are given a scenario for the day. I was to play the role of family member, whose husband is admitted as a result of severe knife like epigastric pain on the RUQ. Diagnostic test shows pancreatitis. Begin a family member I was so worry about what going on with my husband, I kept asking the nurses to tell me what was going. The nurse did not communicating with me effectively, is like I was left out entirely. Even when the doctor walked in I was expecting the nurses to at least introduce me to the doctor or for the doctor to acknowledge my presence there, but none of this happen, instead they ignored my presence and continued doing their job.
