Lei Lee and Dalman Smith
1. How would creating a new coordination between the CEO and the location mangers help the business to grow? Lei Lee and Dalman Smith would have more time to work on the expansion and the franchise issues if they chose to go that route .It would also help with running the business because it would take some weight off the owners back because they would have someone to oversee the stores.
2. Is promoting an existing manger the best option the best way to fill this position? If not, what is an alternate source to fill the position? Yes I would try to promote within if all possible because that person would all ready now a lot about Sandwich Blitz but if I would promote from within I would want somebody that is dictated and does care and has the qualities of a general manager. If no one from within has these qualification I would advertise in the paper or on internet sites like Monster.com for a qualified general manager. 3. Who within the company should make these decisions?
I feel the CEO should make the decision who the new general manager will be because they will working closely with him and it has to be someone they can count on, because hiring the wrong general manager can hurt their business also
4. List the level of authority (management) that Sandwich Blitz, Inc. Would have if the new position is created.
