Samantha Communication In Relationships

Focus: Samantha and family will be able to establish and demonstrate healthy, meaningful relationships. Ms. Smalls (MHP) and Ms. Smith (MHS) discuss Samantha communication under stress caused by Hurricane Matthew. Intervention: MHP made weekly contact with MHS and Samantha after returning home from evacuating. MHP and MHS discussed Samantha ability to communicate during this stressful time of staying in a hotel with MHS. MHP and MHS review ways Samantha display boundaries and appropriate behaviors. MHP encouraged MHS to enforce boundaries.

Response: MHS explained leaving the area with family to evacuate for Hurricane Matthew. MHS expressed Samantha demonstrate respect for personal boundaries. MHS reported redirecting Samantha negative behaviors. MHS and Samantha agreed communication is getting better, however Samantha is working to improve communication with adults and peers.
MHS report Samantha continues to work on improving communications and boundaries.
