In his speech, John Kasich talks about how is father was a mailman and how he carried mail on his back. His father knew everybody on his mail route and how he would celebrate with everybody from birthdays to funerals. My first impression from watching the film was the relationship between the study’s prisoners and guards seemed friendly at first. Though they’re encouraged by Zimbardo and his associates to take the experiment seriously and to invest themselves fully in their roles, the subjects initially still understand that they’re not really in a prison but then, the experiment takes a turn when a guard named Christopher Archer begins to embrace a meaner personality one, in which I suspect from watching the experiment, is not his normal demeanor but, rather, a more boosted version of himself of which he perceives to be his role. This paper analyzed two articles from different fields of studies, then compared and contrasted them for rhetorical elements. One from the field of criminal justice and the other from the field of psychology. The criminal justice article, “DA Vance: Tyrone Howard Convicted of Murdering NYPD Detective Randolph Holder” was produced by The New York District Attorney’s office (2017). Emanuel Jal not only tells his stor, but he makes his audience feel as if they are there in the villages with him. Jal gives a brief peek into his story at the beginning of the book. He used this to catch the readers attention and make them want to know every detail of what he went through. Jal says, “In the peaceful village we once knew, rockets blow apart houses with families inside, women are raped, and children are murdered.”(2). One example is his experience as a member of The House of Representatives for 18 years from 1983 to 2001, while there he was a member of the Armed Services Committee and chairman of the House Budget Committee.
