1.The business I have started is a resort. The resort called Breakaway Retreats, which has different activities, themes and relaxation and massage. The resort is a place used for relaxation or recreation, attracting visitors for holidays or vacations. I will provide all of a vacationer's wants while remaining on the premises, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and relaxation. Breakaway Retreats will provide an array of amenities and entertainment and recreational activities. There will be six cabins, a main eating and activities area, and a stable. The retreat is 15 miles out of Lloydminster. I will need one full time server which is also a housekeeper. I will also need a full time maintenance worker and a full time receptionist. The server’s job description is to ensure that all guests are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner when they walk into the rec room. The server would say “Hi! How are you today? Sit where ever you would like.” When seating the guests explain daily features and present wine list. Deliver all drinks, water or juice in a timely manor. The server is responsible for running food to all the tables. If there is a customer complaint they the owners need to be notified immediately. Assist in re filling extra stocking items like napkins, polish cutlery, or setting up the brunch or buffet. Clearing all the tables and reset them during shift. Assist in refilling and maintaining cleanliness standards for breakfast buffet of brunch. Thank the guest as they are leaving and ask them how there meal was. The maintenance man job description is maintaining grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, aerating and fertilizing lawns; replacing plants as needed. Set sprinklers. Maintain ground maintenance equipment, trim tree branches that create hazardous situations. Also identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; maintains and monitors septic systems. The maintenance man will also feed and take care of the horses and the stables. They will perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities including carpentry, plumbing, painting, repairs and treats structures of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closet’s; repair door hinges: change filters on heating, ventilating and air conditioning units; service appliances, kitchen. Report the mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for further action if needed. They will help maintain a clean, safe and orderly work site. It will be mandatory that they have a bobcat license because they will be running one from time to time. 2.My companies primary target market is families and my secondary target market is couples. 3.The primary expectation for my company will be for the customers to have a good time. Five additional secondary expectations for my company will be to have good customer service, build a lasting long term relationship with customers, make sure the time that customer have enjoyable activities, make sure there stay was worth their money and time, and make sure the food is great. 4. Three Organizational Values that my company values are I believe the customer must always be treated with respect and dignity. I believe my employees can make the best decisions to satisfy the customers, and my company values customer feedback. 5.SWOT analysis stands for: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. S - Strengths: What does my company have that makes my Retreat unique? What are the internal strengths? Strengths can include many elements, but they are generally those factors that may give your business a competitive edge. I believe that Breakaway Retreats strengths are location, quality of service, pricing, reputation, staff, and uniqueness. W - Weaknesses: What are my company’s internal weaknesses?
