Remember The Titans Movie Analysis
Both the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” and the movie "Remember the Titans" address the problems associated with racism, with both writers expressing the problems with race and opposition to it. The most important theme expressed in both stories is that one should always stand up for one’s beliefs, regardless of the level of opposition to them.

The movie ‘Remember the Titans’ is about a journey of a newly combined white and black high school American football team. The main character of this movie, known as Coach Herman Boone is appointed to select players from the White and the African American students in a football team. Books filled with controversy rarely get recognition for shaping people’s lives; however, To Kill a Mockingbird overcomes this stereotype by showing the good in an otherwise not so good community. This community, known as Maycomb, exemplified traditional racial views that southerners held during the 1930’s. Most of the community, and most of Southern America, shared these same racial views, but Atticus Finch’s beliefs differ from those around him. Throughout the book, Atticus stands up for people of all races despite what those around him think. The courage shown by Atticus has greatly impacted all aspects of my life, including my faith, and demonstrates the determination that I wish to possess.…

Gerry and Julius’ relationship changes vastly throughout the movie. For example, during the start of the movie Gerry approaches Coach Boone and demands that spots be saved for white players, where as in the middle of the movie the team goes to a war memorial and relationships begin.
