The current staffing at my organization is facing some challenges as the government mandated reimbursement cuts continues across the board. Technological advances have reduced due to a shortage of personnel needed to provide personal contact/care with patients and their families. Because of the shortage of personnel most of us are burnout and customers can usually tell by the service they receive. The lack of energy and poor quality of care concerns me, but there isn’t much that I can do. Personally, I would hire more staff who are competent and able to work in this field that requires so much care and compassion.
