THE PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE
INTRODUCTION
Rationale
Almost everything has been influenced by technology. In the current era of rapid development, technology facilitates peoples’ lives and creates more comfort. It has remarkably improved the quality of life. Due to this advancement, young people of this generation are getting used to find the easiest and most convenient way. As for the students and faculty of Bohol Island State University – Main Campus, finding the easiest and the most convenient way in relation to subject evaluation process and class management is a challenge. These parts are critical. Most often in subject evaluation, students tend to overload subjects. This adding is based on prerequisites of subjects which the evaluation committee often fails to check. Another scenario is the varying numbers of enrolled students in each course resulted in uneven distribution of students in each class which lessen the maximum utilization of each rooms. Thus, possibly leads to room shortage. Inline to these noticeable circumstances, the researcher are encouraged to conduct a study entitled “Automated Subject Evaluation and Class Management System of Bohol Island State University – Main Campus” which gives solutions to these problems especially the evaluation of subjects and the distribution of students in each class. This project sought to propose a more organized and convenient way of reassuring the correct subject loads of the students and the even distribution of students in every class. It is desired that the bottom line of this study would contribute to the advancement of the management as well as the convenience of the students and faculty. Literature Background

THE PROBLEM
Statement of the Problem
The Main thrust of this study was to design an Automated Subject Evaluation and Class Management System of Bohol Island State University – Main Campus. This study will be conducted in Bohol Island State University – Main Campus for the school year 2012-2013.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following:
1. What is the description of the new Automated Subject Evaluation and Class Management System in terms of: 1.1 Technical design;
1.2.1 Design and Layout
1.2.2 Programming
1.2 System Requirements;
1.3 Operating Procedure?
2. What is the level of performance of the newly designed Automated Subject Evaluation and Class Management System in terms of: 2.1Speed in Evaluating Subject;
2.2Accuracy;
2.3Convenience of Use?
3. What is the acceptability level of the newly designed Automated Subject Evaluation and Class Management System to BISU- MC in terms of: 3.1Functionality
3.2Stability
4. What is the technology plan of action to be implemented after finding the result of the study?

Statement of the Null Hypothesis
There is no significant difference between the existing manual subject evaluation and class management system and the newly designed automated system. Significance of Study
The benefactors of this study are the following:
Instructors. This study will lessen the burden of the instructors in the evaluation of subject during enrolment periods. This study will be able to do away the matter concerning the evaluating instructor being accused when conflicts regarding the subject loads arise. School. The main beneficiary of this study is the school. This study will help the school to use the maximum utilization of class rooms thus help to prevent the possibility of room shortage.

Students. This study will benefit the students in term of the convenience in enrolment especially in subject evaluation and the selection of subjects to be taken in one semester.
