Bharti Mandal clearly admitted in the trial court that she had been coached. The honourable judge justifies this coaching, explaining in the judgment that there is nothing wrong in tutoring witnesses who are from a lower class and uneducated. I disagree with this fundamentally, their social standing and perceived intelligence according to the judge is not what makes them credible witnesses or not.…

In Doc.7 it states, “ I did not feel the slightest hesitation in entering the prisoner’s box.” As for Dr.King he was proud that he had come this far for his, but knew the fight wasn't over yet. In Doc.8 it states, “Those who had previously trembled before the law were now proud to be arrested for the cause of freedom. With this feeling of solidarity around me, I walked with firm steps towards the rear of the jail.” While, Mandela didn’t care what sentence he faced because he knew the people he would leave behind would finish his duties for him. I feel that the narrator is somewhat bias on her reporting. Though she gives us all the information regarding the case if it makes Adnan look guilty, we somewhat feel that she is trying to prove that Adnan is not guilty and that his trial was not fair. Adnan’s cousin who knew of her because Sarah had written an article about Adnan’s lawyer contacted Sarah. This shows that the narrator was obviously interested in this case and even told us that she has spent a year looking into this case, this would show that could have bias towards the case.…

It was 9:15am on 25 April 2006. An article published in that day’s Economic Times, a leading Indian financial daily, had attracted the attention of both Mr Ravi Singhania and Ms Manju Mohotra. Singhania was the founder and managing partner of Singhania and Partners,1 one of the largest full-service national law firms in India; Mohotra was its chief executive. The Indian legal services industry had been booming since the country’s economic liberalisation, which had started in the 1990s. The exponential growth of this industry was accompanied by an acute talent crunch. The ability to hire and retain talent was becoming a source of competitive advantage, a mantra for success. The news article Singhania and Mohotra read was about the movement of partners between legal services firms. It was yet another testimony to the high attrition rate in the Indian legal services industry. Sitting in Mohotra’s office, the article provoked both Singhania and Mohotra to reflect on the adequacy of their firm’s people practices.…

Probably, the Pastor in his vision / intuition must have felt something wrong with my leg. Most often than not, God’s men are right. Yes, within next few days, I noticed a severe pain in my left knee. I consulted three doctors and the pain still continues. I couldn’t attend two of my scheduled meetings - one at Delhi & one at Bangalore. So also, one marriage function in Vellore. I am now on the recovery stage. Thanks to a few pills and an oil, a combination of herbs and five different oils prepared by me, on the advice of a native expert. Meanwhile, I have come…

    Narendra Modi

There may be general consensus that the election in Gujarat is a no contest but the jury is still out on whether to credit Narendra Modi's performance as Chief Minister or credit his massive and expensive propaganda machine, which his critics say has vastly inflated his rather limited successes. The Modi PR machine never sleeps, but in election time, goes into overdrive. There are his surreal, and much publicised 3D speeches, 29 Vikas Raths equipped with projectors, and 10 LED Raths, each with a 110" screen, which roam interior villages. His personal website has been given a spanking new election upgrade. As has his other social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook page and Youtube channel. The frequency of advertisements on TV, print and online have multiplied. And he also has his own TV channel: NaMo Gujarat, which was launched just before the elections. But who runs this for Mr Modi, and who pays for it? As with most things related to Mr Modi, the answers are not easy to come by. The Modi spin machine appears to use a mix of official, quasi-official and private players, with fragmented responsibilities, a structure that allows for grey areas of accounting and accountability. One such hub is run in a corporate tower in Ahmedabad at the offices of Maulik Bhagat, who runs a software and media firm. Mr Bhagat is only 27 years old, but his father is a BJP party headquarter fixture. Also part of this firm is Modi confidante Parindu Bhagat. He's a new, but integral part of the Modi spin team, creating the concept for a series of popular 'kabbadi' ads, meant to highlight the leaderless state of the Gujarat Congress. Mr Bhagat says he is also coordinating the chief minister's mammoth online and social media campaign. But at the BJP headquarters, Rajeeka Kacheeria, who heads the party's IT cell, seems to suggest that she is coordinating a similar effort. The confusion over who runs Mr Modi's online operations extends to questions…
