The Purpose of this assignment is to: LO1:1Understand the different approaches to quality management appropriate to commercial operations LO2: Understand the benefits of quality management in a business and services context LO3:Understand a range of quality controls and how service to the customer can be improved. LO4: Be able to apply the principles of quality management to improve the performance of an organisation

Scenario: You as a newly recruited quality officer in your organisation, you are requested by your manager to submit a full report about the 'state of health' of the existing quality management systems of the organisation and to propose modifications or new systems that could improve overall quality of the business.

Task 1 Describe the different approaches applied by the organisation to manage quality. You have to give definitions of quality and illustrate the process of inspection and assurance and explain the different methods used. (Assessment criteria:1.1-1.4), Grading criteria M1,M2) Evidence BOOKS AND QUALITY MANUAL OF THE ORGANISATION
