Public Displays of Affection
I don’t know about you guys, but one of the things that bugs the heck out of me, is PDA. For those of you who don’t know what that stands for, it stands for Public Displays of Affection, and it’s gross, gross, gross. It should be kept out of school, makes people uncomfortable, and it draws bad attention to yourself.
How do you feel when you’re trying to get by in the hallways, but you have two lovebirds in front of you having the time of their life, while you’re about to throw up? OR when you see a couple having makeout sessions at their lockers making it impossible to get your stuff? After all, schools are meant for showing public displays of affection, right? Wrong. Schools are meant for education, where you go to learn. When you want to say hi or bye to your boy or girlfriend, make it a quick hug, move your way to class, and don’t get in the way of anyone else. In some schools, PDA and any physical contact has been banned because some students don’t have the ability to make appropriate choices between inappropriate and appropriate physical contact. It’s disrespectful towards your peers and teachers, and school is not the place for it.
You might be in love with your boyfriend or girlfriend, but for the sake of others, please play your game of tonsil hockey in private. I can’t recall how many times I’ve seen it happen. The most places where I’ve seen this behaviour is in the mall or amusement park line ups. Groping, touching, wet, sloppy kisses. It’s absolutely disgusting.
