Pros And Cons Of Windshield Washers
Windshield washer were created to remove dirt and bugs from window while driving or to clean the windshield without using your hands. The fluid that is used to clean the window is a detergent mixed with antifreeze agents. The pump and windshield washer sprays and wipes the grime and bugs off the windshield to its best capability. This great invention was created to help clean the car’s windshield so you can see more clearly and drive more efficient. There are pros as well as cons to windshield washers.
The good about windshield washers is that they clean your windshield to the best of their ability. However, sometime I feel as if they can make your windshield worse than what is was. Especially, when it leaves a ring around the windshield.

    8. Surfactants are wetting agents that lower the surface tension of a liquid, allowing easier spreading, and lower the interfacial tension between two liquids. Surfactants improve water's ability to wet things, spread over surfaces, and seep into dirty clothes fibres. One end of their molecule is attracted to water, while the other end is attracted to dirt and grease. So the surfactant molecules help water to get a hold of grease, break it up, and wash it away. Soaps and detergents are both emulsifying agents and…

Is this a “thriving” community or does it look “run down?” Is there new or ongoing construction? Are buildings, roadways, and public areas clean and well-kept. Do you see dirt, trash, or graffiti? Sunnyside is an old neighborhood established in 1912 , although it has some “run down “ homes there are new construction and new building and development. There is an indicator of growth in this poor neighborhood. Roadways and public areas are clean and well kept.…

Today our lives are thought to be in danger due to global warming. Global warming is defined as a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. Thought to be a big contribution to global warming are the emissions that come from the exhaust of our cars. Electric vehicles do not have tailpipes that exhaust fumes to pollute so they are the logically thought of the cleaner form of transportation. Imagine if everyone suddenly had electric vehicles, would we be able to provide enough energy to power them all? If not how much more do we need to make it possible and will the way we produce the energy pollute just as much as the fossil fueled vehicles they replaced?…

Indicators of social, economic, and cultural conditions include many churches in this area where many residents participate on a weekly basis. A basketball court was seen on during my survey in which young male adults were engaging in a game and other young men watching. The homes are built close together and they were not maintained well and were in need of repair. In addition, there were two schools in the area without playgrounds and the children were not visible during the daytime. I also noticed numerous bus stops that were covered with benches provided which seem to be the main means of…

It was a typical hot, humid day in my community in the town of Abbeville, Louisiana, Thursday, July 5, 2012. The afternoon was spent driving around, and then sitting in my car observing areas and jotting down observations in the community that surrounds my home. My town is considered a suburb of the greater Lafayette Metropolitan. The 2010 census revealed a population of 7,669 for the town of Abbeville. There are three areas that were found to be most in need, they are in order of importance: public safety, education and senior care.…

I performed this windshield survey on a Tuesday afternoon; Schools had been let out for the day and I observed many school buses and children walking in large and small groups. The majority of the people were Caucasian, very few Latinos, well nourished, appeared clean and well dressed. I observed mothers with baby strollers with young children walking close by. There were quite a few senior citizens shopping in the stores and sitting house porches. Warwick has a large tourist economy, however it runs seasonally and at this time I did not see any. I did observe a few smokers but no evidence of drug or alcohol use.…

For Community Health Nurses to knowledgeably plan services for a specific community, it is essential to know the community, identify health-related resources that may be helpful to members, and learn about gaps in services. One of the ways this can be done is by conducting a windshield survey ( head –to-toe assessment) of the community itself. This involves the generation of data that helps to define the community, the trends, stability, and changes that all serve to define the health of the community (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2011). This windshield survey was conducted from a car and by walking and provided a visual overview of the community of Randallstown, MD. Some areas observed were: housing, race/ethnicity, religion, transportation, service centers, parks and recreational areas, commercial activities, entertainment, information about the population, health care problems, quality of life, and the perception of the community members. In this paper, this community will be examined in great detail. Identification of needs in the community and health problems of the community will be discussed. Conditions and trends in the community that could affect the health of the population will also be discussed.…
