Will Bury, an enterprising inventor, is convinced that soon everyone will be reading or listening to everything digitally, including books that have been mostly available in hard copy. He knows that there are books on CD, but these are relatively expensive and have been recorded using human readers. He also knows that there is technology that can transform the printed word into audio, but the sound is somewhat inhuman. Will plans on speeding up the transformation with a proprietary technology he has developed and patented. This technology takes the printed word for text materials and creates a file with the option of reading it digitally or listening to it with a realistic synthetic voice. Will knows that he has free access to books no longer under copyright protection, and he figures he can pay a royalty fee of $5 per title for copyrighted books that will greatly expand his catalog. So far, he has limited himself to English-language books but is working on a language translation option as well.…

With the Simulation software, it is relatively easy to change the features or price point of a product and have the simulation software predict the market share that the product would attain in the market. This I hope to achieve by using the computer to emulate a real world situation. It is time based, and takes into account all the resources and constraints involved, as well as the way these things interacts with each other as time passes. Simulation also builds in the randomness that would be seen in real life. For instance, it doesn’t always take exactly 5-minutes for a customer to be served and a customer don’t always arrive every 15-minutes. This means that the simulation really can match reality, so when one make changes to the simulation; it will demonstrate exactly how the system would behave in real life.…

The archeological and African origins related to the study of human origins were focused primary on the prehistory of Africa from archaeological perspective. However the Africans had their own problems about the origins of humans but the effect of scientific and universally accepted evidence emphasis will be place on archeological interpretations some people believe that the earliest humans had a relationship with the apes, chimpanzee and gorilla that were found in central Africa. In Africa and the Middle East there was Homo sapiens; in Asia, Homo erectus and in Europe by 30,000 years ago this taxonomic diversity vanished and humans everywhere had evolved into the anatomically and behaviorally modern form. Many say that two recent anthropological studies support the theory that modern humans emerged from both African and regional sources but the debate is far from over. Decreasing levels of human genetic diversity have been found at increasing distance from Africa as a consequence of human expansion out of Africa but the earliest fossils that were found in Africa had a primate of a sub-Saharan Africa. Dubious had found so many different fossil not known where they could be from or if they a human or an apes from many years ago. Historical archaeology is the study of cultures that existed and may still during the period of recorded history several thousands of years in parts of the Old World, but only several hundred years in the Americas.…

At Eastern Connecticut State University, Non-athlete students should have the right to use the gym whenever they choose to. Being restricted to something that your money is going towards isn’t right. Perhaps building another gym or creating extra space inside and making it a larger gym can be good for non-athlete students. Not only will it be a good improvement for students but it will also create a happier environment around campus. One side of the gym can be for student athletes and the other can be for non-student athletes.…

Diabetes is a serious disease that cannot be cured and implementing an awareness program will help prevent many people from developing the disease. This proposal shows how to create a program that will help lower the incidence rates of diabetes in Latino communities. The program will demonstrate the importance of working out for 30 minutes a day, eating healthy meals and making annuals appointments for a routine physical exam. The incidence of diabetes amongst Latino residents in California is above the national average and therefore it is an important community to target. The cost for diabetes prevention programs can be affordable, even minimal. It is highly recommended to set an outreach program within the Ministerio Manantial De Amor Church community in Los Angeles, California. Bringing this outreach program into the community can help bring awareness and educational values that may be useful for the Latino community in their everyday lives. This proposal will help increase awareness of prevention strategies in the church and the outside community that will help many in the future.…

Nowadays, many people prefer shopping online in order to avoid heavy lifting of products to be brought from physical stores. The consumer e-commerce market reached 9.5 trillion yen in 2012, swelling 80% in five years. Aeon had seen the opportunity of providing such service as well as to regain customers lost to e-retailers, the company has decided to pursue synergies between physical stores and online shops known as clicks-and-bricks. Then, customers’ orders will be automatically connected with retail giant’s delivery portal upon scanning barcodes in the store, while payment and delivery paperwork will be handled in-store via smartphone. Once the transaction is finished and confirmed, purchases will be arrived in as little as two hours.…
