Let’s Help Inc.
The following document contains the promotional plan for the Let’s Help Inc. newsletter. Executive Summary
As Washburn University students Garrett Brower, Adam Forbes, and Shea Kirsop partnered with Let’s Help Inc. of Topeka, Kansas to develop a promotional plan consisting of an up to date organization newsletter. The goal was to raise awareness of the organization through the newsletter that is sent out quarterly by researching what recipients want to know and implementing it in the newsletters.
The research method used consisted of personal interviews with donors (personal and organizational) and individuals who are involved with Let’s Help or other non-profits. Interview questions were developed to help understand what the most significant attributes of non-profits are that people and companies look for. Through our research we found that relationships, donation cause, and awareness were most significantly talked about during the interviews. We were able to then understand what people and companies valued the most, and implement that into a newsletter template.
After looking over the current Let’s Help newsletter we decided that some information was valuable to keep, along with adding what readers wanted know based on our new findings. The template was also redone so that the reader could easily transition from one to the next. With the data we captured and implemented into the newsletter, we expect awareness, contact, donations and interest of Let’s Help to increase through their newsletter.

She created a Social Concerns committee and it was around her dining room table that they came up with the name “Let Us Help” which was soon changed to “Let’s Help”. Patty became the first Executive Director, as a volunteer.
