Professional Athlete Salary Cap Essay
A salary cap will prevent professional athletes from being paid too much for their skill.

Some people believe that professional athletes are not paid enough; however not having a salary cap could hurt sports tremendously. According to James B, a writer for Teen Ink, “Basically, most professional athletes are paid massive salaries so that they don’t complain or go on strike.” The athletes aren’t just getting paid for their skill, but also keeping them happy and to make sure they don’t leave. Cutting their ridiculously high salaries could help benefit communities by raising teachers, firefighters, police and many more salaries.
