Post 300 Word Response Essay
Post 300 word response explaining the concepts behind the Pro and Pro nuture perspectives
Consider the following questions:

a.) Why is it flawed to ask how much of a particular behavior is due to genetics and how much is due to experience?

b.) Why is it appropriate to seperate the contributions of genetics and experiece when measuring the development of diffrences among individuals?

answer:

It is flawed to assume that a particular behavior is solely do to genetics. Behavior is controlled by nature and nuture responses. Genetics play a role because they can have a direct affect on one's patience level and cortisol responses to an issue or situation. Environmental genetics, or phenotypes can play a role in developing the functions

While the two factors will affect behavior, the combinations are infinite, and thus any interactions cannot truly be judged. In the long end, behavior will most likely be controlled by experiential learning and by the consequences felt by their actions.

***It is flawed to ask how much of a particular behaviour is due to genetics and how much is due to experience, because no behaviour is caused soley by gentics or experience. Nature or nuture can be a factor as well. How will we ever know what are the behaviours of genetics and what are the behaviours of expeience? I dont think thats ever possible, so I can clearly say it is flawed to say how much of a behaviour is due to genetics or experience. Diffrent people react in diffrent ways, so to say because of 'x' genetic everyone is behaving this way would be wrong.
Lets say for example, you wanted to say murders become the peron's they are because of te gentetics they inhertited would be flawed. Yes we could say genetics from his/her's parent being a murder could be a contributing factor, however experience maybe as well a contributor. But what do you say about those who's parents are muders, and they dont grow up to be muders what do you contribute that to? Mind set, gentetic or

I believe that it is flawed to ask how much of a particular behavior is due to genetics and how much to experiences, because it is a rigid explanation that tries to attribute a particular proportion to each part. The key point is to recognize the complex collaboration of both nature and nurture; the environment inputs along with the genetic code play and important role on human development. As a result, each person develops different types of personalities. Besides, scientists, still have many types of challenges ahead behind human nature.…

Losing someone close to you can feel like losing a part of yourself. A piece of you goes missing. Imagine living your life with them there and then having them ripped away from you. It really is as horrible as it sounds. In “The Unmothered” Ruth Margalit explains her experience of losing her mother to cancer. She tells about what it’s like on certain days of the year such as, her mother’s birthday, the day her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and her parent’s anniversary. She also gives some memories she has of her mother and what her mother taught her. I, like Ruth, also lost my mom to cancer so I was really able to connect with this article. I also dread certain days of the year but unlike the author I see my mother’s death in a very different way.…

The way people behave can not be genetically determined, right?! Nature and nurture are the movers and shapers, they make us what we are today, according to Harris, J. (1998)2 . Nature versus nurture is a much discussed topic, in psychology as well. There are a lot of theories about the question if we were formed by our genes or the environment where we live. Some psychologists argue that only one side has their impact like John Locke from the nature-side, while I believe it is an interaction between two of these factors, both of them have their influence on the development of that type of…

This is a famous Pepsi commercial, known for the famous song "We will rock you" of Queen, covered by the trio powerful singers of America, Beyoncé, P!nk and Brittney Spear, also with the appearance of the famous Spanish singer/actor Enrique Iglesias. This video is rather plot like, very excited, very inspiring, with the setting of citizen, kings and queens and gladiator under the Coliseum of Rome. The three female gladiators were put up to fight each other (Beyoncé, P!nk and Brittney Spear) for the entertainment of the King (Enrique) while he was drinking Pepsi. The crowd-citizen doesn’t seem to like him, as if he is a tyrant, and therefore there were judgment for him everywhere. This advertisement company did made a nice comparison, comparing the possession of the King's Pepsi is like a possession of gold that causes the angry mob, especially it was a hot sunny day for all of them. And so, to trigger the audience interest, when the three gladiators were unleash to fight, they give up their weapon and start singing We will Rock you, like an inspiring tool saying "Pepsi will rock you". Eventually, the lyrics was indeed powerful, " blood on your face, you're big disgrace, somebody got to take your hand and out it into place", all very fit the context of wanting to defeat the King. And when they did, the Pepsi just became a prize and everybody cheered, making Pepsi even more special. Furthermore, Pepsi represented the breakthrough of monarchy; emphasize the individualistic powerful personality that Americans believe they have. Focusing on the detail, not only the advertisement is remarkable in term of content, music and actors but the fact it was release around the summer time make it even more famous. Cold Pepsi under hot sunny day, with the gulp sound as the king swallow the drink, and the sound of pop gas when opened the can, it gives a refreshing feeling and therefore very likely to be memorize and consumed greatly.…

In reading the three articles, “From Degrading to De-Grading” by Alfie Kohn, “And Now He is Nothing” by Michael Specter and “Dilma Rousseff” by Simon Romero my impressions of each article varies from one of unbelief to affirmation. As compelling as the ideology of not grading is, the practicality of implementation would be enormous. The assumption that Lance Armstrong is now nothing can it really be so easily dismissed? Finally, Dilma Rousseff rise to power as a right of previous wrongs remains to be seen; each writer conveying a very persuasive argument.…

With nature versus nurture being a widely discussed debate it is easy to tie into different situations. "The debate within psychology is concerned with the extent to which aspects of behavior are a product of either inherited (i.e. genetic) or acquired (i.e. learned) characteristics” (McLeod). There is two sides to the debate nature…

In conclusion, it is safe to say that the role of our genetics and the environment equal people's behavior and traits. You cannot blame either one because without one, the other wouldn’t exist. Genes effect a lot of your personality and behavior but the environment molds the way people are going to act. This will always be an ongoing controversy because it is nearly impossible to pin point accurately where the role of genes and the environment step…
