1-Antonio is definitely feeling stressed. He has too many tasks to perform in a short amount of time. Also he has become the team lead just recently. Anytime one begins a new position there is some amount of stress because of the unknown. New nurses usually have the skills required to perform their job, but can lack management skills, like time management, to get the job done. Management skills are acquired through experience and time.…
Jim Donovan has recently accepted a new position as president for the company Famous Products. He has been asked to fly in to Milwaukee to take a look at the facilities and meet with the former president Don Bird. Jim is so excited and confident about his new position that he doesn’t think twice about his meeting with Bird. Upon his arrival Bird welcomed Jim to the building then brought him into a huge conference room where a bunch of other men in business suits sat. Bird made it openly clear he was not pleased that Jim would be taking over in front of everyone; this was obviously a huge shock to Jim. Jim was not prepared at all for Bird to react this way, we will discuss the mistakes Jim made before he got to the appointment, Jim’s reactions and what he should do during and after the meeting.…
I would define the market area in this case as a five mile range. In the case of Pompano Beach there are not many physical boundaries that impede progress. There should an increase in trade area because Pompano Beach is located near the I-95 the most famous highway in the country. There is also a secondary trade area with tourism during certain months will bring in additional 200,000 people to the area.…
Mr. Jimmie Osborne is enrolled in the Anger Management Group Therapy class I facilitate at the Columbia Center on Mondays at 2:00pm. Up until week seven, Mr. Osborne has been an active participant engaged in group discussions appropriately. During week seven, he became disruptive and inappropriate to the point redirection was no longer effective and he had to be asked to leave the group. After session, Mr. Osborne asked permission to attend future groups and was told he could do so as long as he kept his attitude in check and followed group/center rules to which he agreed. Mr. Osborne came to class for week eight and during check in, he discussed an issue he faced over the weekend which involved him being called a racial slur at the USC…

Tragedy struck a small west Texas town Saturday when beloved Lubbock Christian School (LCU) superintendent, Peter Dahlstrom, accidentally shot and killed his nine year old granddaughter, Soren, while rabbit hunting on the family farm. The entire community has been shocked by this tragedy and the effects of the incident will be felt in the community for some time. Many people in the community will benefit from crisis intervention techniques during this time. I have applied Robinson’s Crisis Response Model for successful crisis intervention to develop a plan of action to help teachers, students, and faculty through this difficult time. The model suggests the following six steps: 1) Define the problem; 2) Ensure safety, including assessing potential for self-harm; 3) Provide support; 4) Examine alternatives; 5) Make a plan; and 6) Obtain a commitment, including a no-harm agreement where applicable.…

Auditory processing is a term used to describe what happens when your brain recognizes and interprets the sounds around you. Humans hear when energy that we recognize as sound travels through the ear and is changed into electrical information that can be interpreted by the brain. The "disorder" part of auditory processing disorder means that something is adversely affecting the processing or interpretation of the information. Auditory Processing Disorder is an impaired ability to attend to, discriminate, remember, recognize, or comprehend information presented auditory in individuals who typically exhibit normal intelligence and normal hearing (Keith, 1995). This processing disorder can interfere with speech and language skills and academic performance, especially reading, writing and spelling. Katz, Stecker and Henderson (1992) described auditory processing as "what we do with what we hear." It involves the ability to remember what is heard, sequence or recall what was heard in the exact order that it was presented, follow directions appropriately or fill in missing pieces of the information in order to complete the message. Children with Auditory Processing Disorder often do not recognize subtle differences between sounds in words, even though the sounds themselves are loud and clear. For example, the request, "Tell me how a chair and a couch are alike" may sound to a child with Auditory Processing Disorder like, "Tell me how a couch and a chair are alike." It can even be understood by the child as, "Tell me how a cow and a hair are alike." These kinds of problems are more likely to occur when a child with Auditory Processing Disorder is in a noisy environment or when he or she is listening to complex information.…
My role in this negotiation is to be the representative from the Federal Department of Coastal Resource (DCR). My agency will be crucial in providing Harboco with Federal funding to help them build their proposed deep-water port off the coast of Seaborne. My agency has placed two priorities will be to ensure federal funds are used for Harborco’s construction project and to ensure that the environment will be maintained and repaired. I am also interested in guaranteeing compensation to nearby ports, having a reasonable diverse industry mix, and allow Harborco to freely staff their deep-water port.…
