I Officer Jacqueline Quiles, working for Cedar Park Police Department in my marked patrol vehicle, wearing my patrol uniform and displaying my badge of office. Working the night shift of 1800-0600 with my patrol car camera working and ready as well as my body camera and driving marked unit 345. At 2245 I was dispatched to a possible DWI collision. Upon arrival to the address of 2206 Rivera, I was met by the complainant Becky Waldron. Ms. Waldron met me in front of the residence listed above and stated that she saw the Red Honda that is parked in the driveway of the residence strike a city owned utility pole. Camp was advised that she was under arrest for Intoxication Assault and her rights were read off of the Miranda card. Ms. Camp was read form DIC-24 and given a copy. Ms. Camp was willing to give a blood specimen. This was noted verbally by the patrol camera and body camera. Ms. Camp was searched in front of the patrol car in front of the camera. prior to being placed in the back of the patrol car. Ms. Camp was placed in handcuffs with the handcuffs double locked and seat belt placed on her. Ms. Camp’s items were gathered and placed in a plastic bag property bag and noted in front of the patrol camera, and was put in the trunk. Intoxication Assault by definition is: Sec. 49.07. INTOXICATION ASSAULT. (a) A person commits an offense if the person, by accident or mistake: (1) while operating an aircraft, watercraft, or amusement ride while intoxicated, or while operating a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated, by reason of that intoxication causes serious bodily injury to another; or (2) as a result of assembling a mobile amusement ride while intoxicated causes serious bodily injury to another. (b) In this section, "serious bodily injury" means injury that creates a substantial risk of death or that causes serious permanent disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ.     Only at the conclusion of the pursuit were the circumstances revolving around this incident revealed. Officer Dossey attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a bicyclist for a vehicle code violation he observed. The bicyclist fled and a short vehicle pursuit ensued.
