Going to Southern California, no one would think of packing an umbrella. Why would they? California is in the middle of a drought. When someone thinks of California, they think of baby blue skies and palm trees along the streets. But, of course, the weekend my family decided to visit Disneyland, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld is the weekend Southern California experienced what the local news called a “tropical depression.”…

To begin, Florida known as “the sunshine state” hooks you in as soon as you enter the state. The beautiful palm trees blowing in the wind, the numerous orange groves you see from the roadside and the welcome center offering fresh squeezed orange juice makes you feel so at home. There are so many beautiful exotic looking flowers in the landscaping of homes and businesses. Of course, the warmer climate is the main attraction in Florida. The annual average high is 79F degrees and the average low is 57F degrees. Snow rarely falls in most of Florida, but has on occasion in the northern peninsula.
