Pharmacology Personal Statement

I have known in my heart since I was a little girl what I wanted to be when I grew up. Whenever an individual asked me that infamous question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” without hesitation I would quickly reply: “A doctor”. Ever since then, from the discovery of DNA to the development in cancer research, science has never ceased to fascinate me. I later realized that pharmacology is more appealing because it involves the way drugs work on the human body. So, my passion towards medical science has led me to pursue a degree in biochemistry at Centenary College of Louisiana. So far, I have maintained a 3.85 GPA and I believe my hard work is evident from my good grades. I am working diligently to follow my dream of obtaining a degree in Pharmacology and helping people.
In addition to focusing on my full time studies, I am also involved in numerous activities on campus. I am a certified Rockwall belayer and a general member of Multicultural Student Association (MSA), an organization on campus. I also work as a community resident assistant on campus
