EESD Leadership Scholarship Essay
One of my dreams in life has always been to go to college and be able to expand my knowledge.
I believe I should be selected for the EESD Leadership Scholarship Award because as a hard working high student I commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that this scholarship will provide me. Also, I am a student that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also I constantly try to improve my own community by volunteering my services so that I can help those in need. In life I want to make a difference and I believe this scholarship will open the doors to success.

I am in a peer mentoring organization in which I help younger generations with problems they may have personally or school wise. I also help the community through my culture. I help hispanic families by translating and tutoring their kids in academic areas that may need to be enforced. The scholarship would serve me as component to improve my knowledge so that my services in the community can expand and eventually we would all be able to to work together and help other communities.
Furthermore, I should be selected as a candidate for this scholarship because I want to set a good example and make a difference. In my family I will be the first person to graduate high school and go to college. I want to prove that success is not about where you come from that it’s about where you go. I also want to show that no matter what you go through , you should always work hard to achieve your goals. This scholarship would financially help me in paying my college tuition so that I can be able to achieve my dream and make the change that I want to
