Healthcare Workers Demand
In society today, the need for Healthcare workers are in high demand. Most of the time when people think of healthcare workers, the first thing that comes to mind are doctors and nurses but in the healthcare industry doctors and nurses are not the only group of people that make up healthcare industry. You also have public healthcare workers who are often times working behind the scenes to protect the health and safety of the public and that help manage and maintain the places that the doctors and nurse use to care for in society today the need for Healthcare workers are in high demand.
The aspect of public health that I am choosing to major in would-be healthcare administration with a minor in management. I feel by choosing this major that will still give me the opportunity to impact to society as a whole by being able to manage and maintain safe facilities for doctors and nurse to treat patients and in today's society the need for Healthcare workers are in high demand. I want to be able to travel and see the world as well as helping and doing everything I can do help someone. My mother worked two jobs to take care of me and my 4-year-old brother. She has sacrificed so much for me as a single parent. It was even at one point I did not know that I would even be here at East Tennessee State University but with the fire I had and the fact my mother wants me to succeed she gave everything she had to get me through my first year and now I want to repay her by showing her I am working hard and with the help of this scholarship I will be closer to my goal in life,

    Shortage of qualified physicians and nurses: There has been an increase in patients due to the Affordable Care Act and more people acquiring health insurance for the first time.
