Finding the right college is hard for some seniors but for me it was simple. From the first time I stepped onto the College of Coastal Georgia campus I knew that was where I was meant to start the next big step of my life. At CCG I am also able to play softball on a $4500 athletic scholarship. I am thankful for my scholarship and blessed to have the opportunity to move on and become a collegiate athlete. However, it still does not help pay for the rest of my college expenses which my parents cannot afford to help pay. This scholarship will not only help me complete part of my educational goal, but it will also help full fill a huge financial need. This scholarship will help me in many ways. All seniors are told how important scholarships are, but many kids are lucky enough to have parents that have money to spare for their kids tuition. My parents are hard working and provide for my family, but they do not have enough money to help me get through college. That is why I have worked hard my whole life in many areas so hopefully when this moment came I would have multiple ways of earning some extra college money. If I am unable to pay for my college tuition the only other option I have is to go into the military instead. This is a great route but I believe my true next step after high school will be to begin my college education and continue my softball career. This scholarship can help me full fill the financial need I have. Even though I am getting help from my softball scholarship I still do need help. Receiving this scholarship will not only help me begin to complete my educational goal but also full fill my financial need.
