Persuasive Essay On Animal Testing
Animal Testing

Imagine Jill, a human, was born into a world where she can’t enjoy her life. She is constantly being tested on and tortured for the sake of other beings that she does not even know. They try to tell her that it’s beneficial to the people in the environment. However they’re gradually killing her by smearing poisonous wastes on her body, exposing her to toxic fumes, suffocating her, etc. Is it really beneficial? And who exactly is benefiting from her torture and death? That is what millions of animals go through each year so that women can use that new eye liner that they want so bad, or that brand new foundation that commercials say will make women look flawless. Before purchasing a product such as makeup, females should check the back to see if it has been tested on animals. Women should not buy Cosmetic products tested on animals because testing on animals is an outrage.

Women could argue that testing on animals is better than testing on humans, however testing on animals is hurting them when it’s not necessary. There are other methods of testing that would not require hurting animals or

It is an outrage because it is intentionally hurting and killing animals for selfish purposes. When scientists are conducting these experiments, the animal is either killed during it or subsequently euthanized (Animal Aid). Research has been carried out stating that most tests are not needed and therefore could save 15,000 animals per year (Lin). It is an outrage that women could support the killing of so many animals all for a makeup product that they like. The numbers of animals in the US being tortured and killed in experiments varies widely but is in the millions. Females need to realize that by buying these products, they are enabling what those companies are doing. It is an outrage that companies that are not even required to test on animals still do it, showing that they show no concern for any of those animals well

Cosmetic and drug companies continually face opposition due to the fact that they use animals for the testing of their products. Some feel that this procedure goes against the rights which are given to all living beings, including animals, while others see the positive impact that animal testing brings to the lives of human beings.…

This article is talking about now Cosmetic animal testing in banned in the UK but still prominent in countries like the United States. It says that there is controversy over this kind of animal testing because animals have to suffer and die just so that humans can be aesthetically pleasing to look at. The author says, “They do not, however, support animal testing for cosmetics [as opposed to medical testing] because the cost to the animals doesn’t justify the research, which is really about enhancing appearances for humans.” The audience could be anyone but targeted mostly towards women to inform them on this issue. This article supports my article but arguing against cosmetic animal testing.…

Many animals are subject to inhumane conditions and procedures in the “name of science”. Animals are used for testing in everything from that trendy matte red lipstick from Covergirl Cosmetics to medical lab testing used to correctly identify the antibody signaling an immune response in lab rats. Animal testing has a vast range of uses with little to no rules identifying the treatment the animal subject to testing is subjected to. Many different brands, especially cosmetic brands, have cruelty-free stickers on their products to let the customer know the product was produced without harm to animals. The United States of America has not limited the use of animal testing yet, however, the European Union has limited animal testing and banned the use of testing on animals on cosmetics and cosmetic ingredients (European…

Animal testing on cosmetics should be banned. People are put in jail all the time for abusing their pets, but people are never put in jail for inhumane testing of cosmetics and other pharmaceuticals on these same animals. I have done a lot of research on animal testing and methods we can use that are more effective and don’t use animals through high school in my free time because of curiosity, so I know a lot of random facts about the harmful nature of this and alternative methods. Animals are being tortured to “help” make better medicine and, the majority of the time does not affect people the same way as animals. Animal testing is inhumane and ineffective the majority of the time, it should be banned.…

The products we use everyday are a luxury that we are blessed to have and be able to use everyday. They are so easy to use and the benefits are so great that people don’t really care how they are made before they hit the shelves. But not many people think about all the tests that the product had to go through to get on the store's shelves. Not many people think about the negatives of the product and all the test that are done on ANIMALS. Animals that are tested on are put through medical tests that could potentially kill them or harm them extremely. The beauty product industry and scientist should find a new way to test their products and drugs without the endangerment to animals.…

Imagine you, your family, and friends being forced to ingest lethal chemicals until half of you die and the other half are killed and dissected. Animals who have been experimented on suffer from diarrhea, convulsions, loss of muscle control, bleeding from the eyes nose and mouth, internal bleeding, stomach ulcers, vomiting, respiratory problems, and in general, complete agony. Often these animals don't suffer for a “good cause” such as a substantial medical advancement. They suffer for insignificant things such as a ‘new and improved shampoo’ Doesn't it seem unreasonable to put these living creatures through such torture just to receive new advancements in the cosmetics industry? The world doesn’t need another eyeliner, hand soap, food ingredient, drug, or pesticide so badly that it should come at the expense of animals’ lives.…

Many people today can say they love their pet, whether it is a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or fish. Little do we actually think about the animals suffering to the torture of cruel animal testing that goes on behind the scenes of the company’s we love. Maybelline, Head and Shoulders, and Clorox are all companies that test on animals, yet are still supported by the thousands of people that buy and use their products. I believe the main reason people continue to support companies that perform animal testing is because society today is not informed or educated about the severity of animal testing. People do not know or care to research if a company performs animal testing. Besides consumers keeping these companies alive and running, animal testing is not humane or morally right. It has been scientifically proven that animals can to a certain extent feel pain (Tell Me if it Hurts: Investigating Whether Animals Feel Pain by Caroline…

Animal testing has always been a dispute between people; some people think it’s morally wrong and some people think it helps with medical and scientific breakthroughs. Drugs that people use or cosmetics that are used could have been tested through animals before being stocked on shelves. About 800 animals are tested on before a drug is passed to clinical trials (“Is animal”). Many animals get tested on, but many like mice, rabbits, hamsters, monkeys, dogs, cats, pigs, and some other animals get tested on. Animals can be used to find new advances in medical treatment and check safety for products, but these animals that get tested on can go through pain and death. Animal testing is wrong and should be stopped because…

This testing technique occurs in many parts of the world from the United States of America to China, but has also been banned in a number of places like Europe. Europe, which has the largest cosmetics market in the world, along with Israel, and India all have banned animal testing for cosmetics. They also banned the sale and import of newly animal tested beauty products (“11 Facts About Animal Testing”). The US should follow in the footsteps of these countries to help reduce animal testing rates. There are also some alternative testing options that don’t require animals to be used all the time (“In Testing | Alternatives to Animal Testing and Research”). Animal testing shouldn’t be continued, because the drugs produced from it rarely work, it’s cruel and inhumane, and it’s an expensive process.…

Cosmetic companies like L’Oreal are causing atrocities on animals such as scarring, burns, and blinding of animals not to mention death for something as trivial as make-up which is something only a portion of the population needs. Cosmetic testing companies are in essence poisoning animals hoping that they will not be chemically scarred and instead find a product safe for use by humans. Why test cosmetics on animals when there are many alternatives. Why measure how long it takes for a chemical to burn away a bunny’s eye while companies can instead test the chemical on a synthetic human eye. An article by C.Bauch states that there are “mechanisms for induction and elicitation of skin sensitization are complex, we propose the combination of in vitro assays into an integrated test battery which can lead to an effective non-animal strategy.” What Bauch is saying is that instead of using technology is now available to allow testing of cosmetic products on invitro assays which are synthesized organic cells instead of living animals. Right now there are many cosmetic products that are animal test free. Recently the European Union banned the sales of any cosmetic product tested on animals. Why hasn’t America done the same? It is just absurd to kill and torture animals for something trivial as cosmetics, at least with medicine it’s not as…

Though we different, we are all living creatures! How do you feel about letting poor innocent animals die because you want to smell or look nice? Behind The News states that Now,” there are a number of alternatives, like people donating tissue samples, testing on artificial skin and body parts in a lab, or simply using ingredients that are already known to be safe.” People are choosing to put others lives before theirs. Behind The News also says that “Despite the alternatives, animal testing is still legal in most countries around the world. In some places like China, imported cosmetics actually have to be tested on animals before they can be sold there.” Though there are alternatives to save animals lives, humans still choose to hurt them because it is easier than testing them on humans, because human life is looked up to then animal life. Do what is right, not what is…

There are many views on this topic that I would like cover in this paper. Many new experiments and laboratory practices have evolved with technology. This new technology doesn’t require animal testing. There are organs grown from cells in a petri dish. Why do we even consider such toxic chemicals to be put in cosmetic products in the first place? Why do humans live such unhealthy lifestyles that require new pharmaceuticals and surgeries? Why are ridiculous tests with no scientific reason to back them performed on animals?…
