Personal Values

Something that it is shared by everyone is our personal values. We acquired them from our surroundings, background, family, friends, and life experiences. They may vary from which ones we have but we all have some. From the moment we are born these values are taught and implied to us by our parents. It is them who have the responsibility to show us the values they think are necessary for us to be better humans, better citizens.
Values and origin
The values that I mostly follow today are integrity, honesty, and loyalty. Integrity is a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values: incorruptibility (Merriam dictionary). Integrity gives a person strength to make difficult decisions. Integrity is a learned behavior that can be relied upon at all times. Honesty is a fairness and straightforwardness of conduct (Merriam dictionary). Honesty is one of the values that is very important simply because it says a lot about the respect level that a person holds for you. The strongest influence comes from parents. Children develop these values from their parents and environment as they absorb everything around them. As children grow, their sphere of influence evolves as more outside sources come into their lives. Working with individuals that share similar core values as your own and who abide by the code of ethics expected from them is critical in law enforcement or any other profession. My personal values allow me to treat others as I want to be treated and not be judgmental toward anyone. As a parent, my life has been about caring for my children. I intend to put my efforts into my family and career to help those in need, and to always strive to be a better
