I am writing this letter in the hope of pursuing advanced studies in your prestigious institution. Such studies, I believe, are vital for my future career in the field of fashion management and will benefit me for my whole life.
I want to pursue a career where I can travel and work in a fashion environment. My hobbies and interests are art, swimming and dancing, reading fashion blogs and magazines. I currently live with my family, but would want to experience living overseas which will help me gain independence. According to me a meaningful life is all about having dreams and working hard to achieve them. My dream was always fashion. To me it’s a source of expressing myself. It has always fascinated me because it can be traced back to the 19th century when Charles Frederick Worth became the first designer to sew his label into the garments he fashioned. I aspire to travel the world to see fashion in different cultures, as culture has shaped fashion around the world.
When I realised my dream, I decided to turn it into a reality by gaining knowledge about the fashion industry and chose this university to guide me. I am currently pursuing Bachelor of
Business Administration from Christ University, Bangalore, India. During the course I have learnt conceptual, analytical and communication skills required to start my own business in future which will focus on quality, integrity, substance and attention to design details. I’ve also learned about consumer trends and branding in marketing and about balance sheets and budgeting in finance. I think this is an indispensable knowledge for working as a buyer or a merchandiser in fashion. I would like to combine my passion for fashion and the acquired business skills to get into the glorious Fashion Industry.
I worked as an intern at Deutsche Bank, Mumbai, India, which helped me in honing to work efficiently in an environment like yours which values teamwork and social diversity. I worked in the back office

When people talk about the word “fashion,” it automatically provides a sense of popular styles of clothing, accessories, and makeup. Fashion influences not only on people’s behaviors, but also influences society on a social and economic level. Sometimes, people show their social status through the consumption of luxury goods, while this trait can be found through the history of fashion. In Adorned in Dreams, the author Elizabeth Wilson introduces fashion’s history and through these changes, people can express different belief systems, social values, and public desires. In Subculture The Meaning of Style, Dick Hebdige introduces an example in Britain’s emergence of subcultures, which illustrates people had changed their social values and beliefs…

One of the reasons I admire him most is that he creates gowns with pure sophistication, designs like out of romantic fairytales, but always maintains his signature style; lace, detailed embroidery, pearls and crystals. Maintaining a professional career while remaining a student required a flexible system of time management, prioritizing, and balancing responsibilities. My senior year of high school could be compared to a first year at college or an internship abroad, as I returned home with countless new opinions and morals. Since this experience I have continued my research into new developments in fashion and art. Attending Teen Vogue’s Fashion University this fall inspired a new interest in the beauty industry, and the amazing illusions makeup artists create through highlighting and contouring a face’s bone structure. I also gladly accepted an offer to intern for the Style Features department of Teen Vogue for the spring of 2012, and begin another journey in the industry I have fallen head over heels for. I am immeasurably grateful to have had opportunities to expand my perspective of art and life, while creating a clear and practical understanding of what I want to achieve in the fashion industry. My passion for aesthetics, fashion, literature, performance art, and now business, has inspired me to develop a unique insight on the modern possibilities of the fashion…

Fashions has inspired my life, and make me get the urge to work harder than ever to get my dream and the dreams of many others fulfilled. people just think of fashion as something just for magazines and to let feel how ugly they are so they can be separated from the few that can pull it off they are the ones who dress like the rest and are not adventurous, the do not branch out and just give life a chance, but like Coco Chanel said “In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” So I believe that to be into fashion one must be fashion, live fashion, sleep fashion, feel fashion, see fashion because it is everywere ,its not just on paper. And most of all one must be original. They must were what feels right and do what works for them and do not worry about what others do. I would like to be a fashion designer and help people be original and feel pretty every step they take of every day they live . I want to get my designs from the element that I see on a day to day bases and make it versatile and pretty and make sure it works. so everyone can enjoy my designs like Coco Chanel said” Fashion is not something that…
