How Fashion Inspired Me
I believe that fashion has inspired my life in so many different ways.
But not only mine, but many others in the world. By the way it is idolize by many, the way it shows a sophisticated life style that so many want but so few can have,How a simple dress can make a girl who feels unnoticed feel so alive and on top of the world and show her that all eyes can be on her, and let her know that no one is any better than her all it takes is a little time. I want to be that person who designed the garments’ that make these people feel so alive so I can think of all the people I can help feel noticed that day. That will make all that hard work worth while. I want to know that with all my hard work, everyone can be fabulous and shine every minute of every day and let them know that you do not have to be perfect to look as beautiful as everyone else. Fashions has inspired my life, and make me get the urge to work harder than ever to get my dream and the dreams of many others fulfilled. people just think of fashion as something just for magazines and to let feel how ugly they are so they can be separated from the few that can pull it off they are the ones who dress like the rest and are not adventurous, the do not branch out and just give life a chance, but like Coco Chanel said “In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.” So I believe that to be into fashion one must be fashion, live fashion, sleep fashion, feel fashion, see fashion because it is everywere ,its not just on paper. And most of all one must be original. They must were what feels right and do what works for them and do not worry about what others do. I would like to be a fashion designer and help people be original and feel pretty every step they take of every day they live . I want to get my designs from the element that I see on a day to day bases and make it versatile and pretty and make sure it works. so everyone can enjoy my designs like Coco Chanel said” Fashion is not something that

Each dress is handmade and takes many hours and hard work to make. I believe this is an art of craft and has high value in a woman’s world. I also own many dresses of my own from going to prom and participating in various pageants. The next time I am wearing one of these delicate dresses I am going to take a minute to think about the hard work and long hours that it took to make my dress just for me.…

I am the perfect candidate for the Fashion Institute of technology because I am inquisitive; I am always craving more knowledge no matter what the topic - I am a leader, I enjoy coming up with fresh, new ideas and I am an intensely passionate person. Though, unlike many other FIT applicants, I haven’t always had a “passion for fashion”. Growing up, I wanted to be an Architectural engineer. It wasn’t until someone close to me gave me my first Michael Kors handbag my 8th grade year that I began to develop the passion I have now. Handling this bag was when realized my obsession with high-end fashion was only beginning. I was amazed at the production work put into making the merchandise. Of course the beauty of fashion is interesting, but what…

Fashion mainly refers to anything which is popular in a culture at any given time, it is inclusive of areas such as; style of dress, cuisine, literature, art, architecture, fashion trends and many other popular factors. Coco Chanel said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Fashion is readily accessible so it is easy for an individual to use it to express themself to others as it helps to show who they are and depict their personality in the terms of visual information. Andy Bennett (2005) confirms that, “fashion provides one of the most ready means through which individuals can make expressive individual statements about their identities” (p.96). He also points out (p. 95) that “of the many commodities and leisure resources through which individuals in contemporary society construct and play out identities in their everyday lives fashion plays a central role”. It is particularly necessary for individuals to express their individuality and position themselves in relation to others in modern society because of the fast pace of life and anonomity of it, as theorist J Entwistle observes “fashion is particularly relevant in the context of ‘the modern city (where) we mingle with crowds of strangers”.(Bennett, p 96) Bennett argues that the relative anomonity of modern day life “calls for highly visual and relatively instantaneous means of asserting one’s identity”.(p.96) Fashion enables a person to do this and consequently can be an influential resource, so the statement that “fashion is a key resource through which individuals in late modernity construct their identities and position themselves in relation to others” seems to…

Maintaining a professional career while remaining a student required a flexible system of time management, prioritizing, and balancing responsibilities. My senior year of high school could be compared to a first year at college or an internship abroad, as I returned home with countless new opinions and morals. Since this experience I have continued my research into new developments in fashion and art. Attending Teen Vogue’s Fashion University this fall inspired a new interest in the beauty industry, and the amazing illusions makeup artists create through highlighting and contouring a face’s bone structure. I also gladly accepted an offer to intern for the Style Features department of Teen Vogue for the spring of 2012, and begin another journey in the industry I have fallen head over heels for. I am immeasurably grateful to have had opportunities to expand my perspective of art and life, while creating a clear and practical understanding of what I want to achieve in the fashion industry. My passion for aesthetics, fashion, literature, performance art, and now business, has inspired me to develop a unique insight on the modern possibilities of the fashion…

I am interested in the fashion branch, especially to work with textile and making forms on the human body. However, I am even more attracted to the more timeless branch to textiles. The fast production and the “no-time to waste because then this fashion is out”, what is made by the big fashion concerns is what i do not like in fashion. This does not correspond with the current trend of a sustainable world. I think the focus is fashion should be on protection, functionality, sustainability, quality and advanced capability of cloths.…
