Thesis Statement:

Personal Responsibility is taking responsibility for your actions, accepting the consequences that come from those actions and acknowledging that what you do affects those around you. However, depending on a person background and upbringing they may not feel that their actions warrant personal responsibility.

Personal Responsibility is taking responsibility for your actions, accepting the consequences that come from those actions and acknowledging that what you do affects those around you. For example there is a young man who is currently attending a four year college. He doesn’t seem to be focused this semester due to the different campus parties. He’s always trying to blame the teacher instead of taking ownership of the fact that he likes to party instead of studying. President Obama visited Wakefield High School in Arlington Virginia he began his speech by addressing the fact that he has spoken about teachers responsibility to inspire there students, parents responsibility for making sure that kids stay on track, and government responsibility for setting high standards, and supporting teachers and principals. , none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed.
