Personal Narrative-Six Flags

After an hour of driving, we finally made it to “Six Flags over Texas”. The moment we got to the park, I immediately saw the humongous ride standing before me. An extremely tall roller coaster that was towering over everything. “The Titan” my parents say. “Hey mom?” I asked. “Do I have to ride that?” “I at least want you to try it.” she replied. I wasn’t so sure I wanted to. “Hey Evan, did you know that The Titan is twenty five stories high? It’s bigger than the Texas Rangers baseball stadium.” My dad said, making me more afraid. I’m usually fine with regular roller coasters. But when they are higher than a baseball stadium? Not so much. “Wow” I replied …show more content…
The “Sky Screamer”. The one in Six Flags in St. Louis is only 236 feet. The Sky screamer here? It’s an astounding 400 feet tall. That’s almost twice the size of the other one. It’s fifteen stories higher than the highest hill on “The Titan.”. I already knew that today was going to be a “wonderful” day. Hours passed, but it only felt like minutes as we walked up to “The Titan”. I was nervous. The ride was huge and I was afraid. I was almost begging my mom not to ride the extremely tall roller coaster, but I knew that she still would force me to. We kept waiting in line for about fifteen minutes.. Me and my family talked for a bit, and everyone else seemed fine, but the orange and blue coaster that was towering before me was frightening. We made it to the gates holding us back from the ride. The cars were a colorful combination of blue, orange, and yellow. The guy running the ride looked happy. I on the other hand, am not

Deep within the heart of New Jersey, the world-renowned Kingda Ka towers over the lofty peaks of Six Flags Great Adventure Amusement Park at a staggering height of 456 feet. The vehicle’s whimsical blue and green hues contradict its terrifying and thrilling nature. The incredible speeds of the roller coaster certainly provide enough of a thrill for the most daring adventure seekers. The winding path that the ride takes as the machine makes its way through the sky resembles the body of a snake as the animal slithers over the jungle floor. The turbulent trolley’s precipitous drop strikes fear into the hearts and minds of all riders that decide to meet the coaster’s challenge. Screams of terror and…

This is Christian Schultz reporting from Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. I can't believe it, I might faint because they took out The Octopus ride and are going to replace it with a new ride called The Joker. I saw a fence bordering around the area where the new ride was going to be installed, and next to the fence I saw a sign that said “please don`t mind our dust.” At this time, it is vague about what kind of ride it will be. Well, enough about that other ride, let's talk about the other new ride, it`s called The Church of DOOM!! I was hasty to make this the first ride I went on. While I was waiting in line I looked around the ride, and it looked like a mock cathedral because it had stain glass windows, a high ceiling, and fancy…

My father and I waited in line for this ride for almost an hour. Finally the boredom sunk in. It felt like we were watching a snail for an hour. Every now and then my father spoke up saying things like “What time did we get in line?” and “How much longer do you think we’ll wait?”. When we got closer to the entrance my father spoke again saying “Hopefully this is worth the wait”…

Staring at the exit of the tunnel, the rusty rails shimmer in a ray of light. Turning to my right, I notice my neighbours’ faces getting paler and paler as we approach the start of the ride. The roller coaster starts to climb hesitantly to the summit. Below, the theme park is filled with screaming and shouting. Creepy tunes playing in a haunted house start to repeat itself inside of my mind. Queues of people serpentine in front of every game seem like the park has been invaded with a bunch of snakes. Again, my body is thrown forward by the movement of the ride. For a short second, I see myself sitting on the highest peak in the theme park. Burning my skin, the merciless sun is floating directly above my head, in the middle of the deep turquoise sky. Reaching outward to look below, I can…

A huge Mickey’s Fun Wheel jumped out at me right when I walked into the California Park. The colorful flowers set alongside a beautiful lagoon. The clip-clop of horse drawn carriages brought people back to carefree days. And of course, I never forget the biggest reason for going to Disneyland – the rides. There was a number of eye-catching moments here- some featuring otherworldly creatures, and white knuckle thrill rides through the clear sky.…
