Personal Narrative: My Octopus Ride
This is Christian Schultz reporting from Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. I can't believe it, I might faint because they took out The Octopus ride and are going to replace it with a new ride called The Joker. I saw a fence bordering around the area where the new ride was going to be installed, and next to the fence I saw a sign that said “please don`t mind our dust.” At this time, it is vague about what kind of ride it will be. Well, enough about that other ride, let's talk about the other new ride, it`s called The Church of DOOM!! I was hasty to make this the first ride I went on. While I was waiting in line I looked around the ride, and it looked like a mock cathedral because it had stain glass windows, a high ceiling, and fancy …show more content…
My legs were starting to get tired because I had been walking for hours. The next ride I wanted to go on was the train because I would get to relax. I had to be punctual to the station because the next train was leaving in ten minutes. When the train was moving from the station, I peered behind my seat and the rides looked like they were shrinking. During the train ride, we passed a hut where the employees hang out when they have a break. Then we came across an orchard where I saw about forty people there with ten baskets and about twenty apples in each basket. I was baffled because I don't remember Six Flags having an orchard before. I got off the train when it stopped. Then I went to one of the maps to find the alley that leads to the one stage that is in a hard to find spot. I didn't want to be poky or I would be late to hear the quartet playing Elvis` songs. I loved listening to the songs and I never wanted it to end. After the show I was going to resume riding the rides but I tripped and fell. After I got up, I looked at my ankle and it was swelling up so I decided to end my trip here at Six Flags. This is Christian Schultz signing off to get some

Everyone thinks that Disney World is fun but when I was 4 I thought it was scary. All of those princess’ and scary statues scared me. But the rides were even worse. When I saw the Rockin’ Rollercoaster I freaked out. I knew that my mom would make me try a new something new like the Rockin Rollercoaster. And that's exactly what she did. I don’t really like trying new things but I knew that my sister and my mom would do it too and they wanted to have fun with me. Somehow she knew that I would love that ride.…

I remember day after day going to swimming lessons in the summer of 2002 at the Mount Vernon pool. Almost every day I walked by the ladder that seemed to go on forever. I used to sit on the pools edge and watch the older kids do flips and other cool tricks off of the high dive. Many times I had gotten half way up the ladder but couldn't bring myself to go all the way up. For a seven year old going off the high dive was like a right of passage and a way to be seen as "cool" in the eyes of the older kids. Today I will be telling you about the first time a braved the high dive.…

It all started out at the reefs of the cold winter season in the Pacific Ocean. Against all odds there was Iro the jellyfish leader realized upon his jellyfish species that they were running out of food on their land. It was to never cross each others place or another war would break out between each other . Slowly dying jellyfish after jellyfish, Iro knew he had to do something and that was to cross the boundary that separates the jellyfish and the turtles and find a spot for sheltering with food for the jellyfish.…

The Fury, the fastest, longest, and tallest rollercoaster on the East Coast. With a top speed of 95 mph and a height of 325 feet makes it the biggest rollercoaster I had ever gotten on, beating the Intimidator 305 by 25 feet. I remember seeing on television and wanting to ride it really badly. It just looked so amazing and since I love rollercoasters and love riding rollercoasters, I knew it was something I had to do. I had ridden lots of rollercoasters before this one such as the Intimidator 305 and the Top Thrill Dragster, which I had enjoyed riding very much, and I figured that the Fury would be just as good. So I asked my parents of we could go to the Carrowinds to ride the Fury. They said yes and we went with my aunt to the Carrowinds.…

The fair is really expensive, the rides are five dollars apiece, when I went on the tilt a whirl the person that operated the ride got on without being in a seat so right before the ride ended he ran into me but for some reason I was laughing hysterically. The guy must have gotten hurt because when I went back I looked over at the ride and then I saw a new guy operating the ride. Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars once spoke, "I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up my friend." At one point in my life, I found this quote to be totally insignificant. Now that I look back on my teenage years, I see it. The rollercoaster only went up from the point I opened my big, fat, attitude infested, mouth to my step-mother, Verona. The take off was bumpy, as well the entire rest of the journey up. Though it did eventually come down, not only going up. I came down an entirely different person and didn't have to think of life as a fictional roller coaster to stay happy.…

I have a deep interest in the ocean and marine life, which was fostered when my family and I moved to the Pacific Coast. This interest grew further after I went on a backstage tour to the aquarium at the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. Due to this continuous exposure to the ocean and the creatures that live there, I am focusing my education around my interest in marine life. It's for this reason that I’m majoring in Marine Biology with a minor in Chemistry. With this education, my goal is to become an Aquarist, and build my way up to becoming an ocean or aquarium diver. As a diver, I want to have the opportunity to study coral reefs, and create and implement conservation plans. In addition, I want to study sea turtles and ways to conserve their declining…

Hi, I’m Cody Jones. I’m really excited because today is the big day! My 2nd grade class and I are going to the Mythical Creature Zoo. We, here at the Mythical Creature Academy, are in the process training to be zookeepers there. At the zoo, there are SO many cool creatures! There are: hydras, Minotaurs, Hippogriffs, a unicorn petting zoo, mermaid aquarium with Kelpies and a Kraken, a Sphinx, and even a Centaur. Because Miss Taylor is such a good teacher, she taught us ALL about the cool creatures. Some things she taught me were: to not pet the Hippogriffs until they trust us, and that mermaid tears become aquamarine jewels! I think I’m set for this amazing trip to the MCZ!…
