When approaching our topic at the beginning, each member of our group took a different lens, mine being an ethical lens. Unsure of what side we were taking, we found research supporting both sides of abortion. Being such a controversial topic, there was lots of it. Using the ethical standpoint, my main focus point was how abortion violates human rights, for both the mother and the unborn child. I found both articles and pictures that represented what I was looking for. After our group further discussed our research question, we decided to take a pro-choice stance, and argue for the mother's rights, using multiple lenses such as ethical, social, political, and religious. Finding enough research at times was hard, because it’s mostly opinion based articles and there are not many proven facts to support either side.

We wanted to include a number different slides in our power point so we were constantly changing the slide. This was so that the viewer always had something to look at so they were not bored and didn’t lose interest. We practiced our speech multiple times so that we felt comfortable when we actually performed it, and so that we could get all our information across in the time constraint.
