A Personal Opinion Essay's Argument Against Abortion
The human body is amazing. It can protect one from sickness, harm. It can create beautiful art or fantastical inventions. It can surpass impossible limits. The human body is amazing. It’s amazing and it can create life. But, we, as humans, can take away that life. Humans can inhibit a person from moving forward. Humans can stop a person from feeling happiness or wholeness. And all because we, as humans, make abortion illegal. When abortion is illegal, it restricts a girl or woman from living the life she deserves. When abortion is illegal, it shows that a group of fellow humans love a forming bundle of cells more than the person standing before them. The statement, "BUT IT'S MURDER!" in my mind's eye, is not entirely true at all. When the fetus is inside the womb and a woman has a miscarriage, is it not the woman's body regretting the child. Is that not murder as well. While the fetus is still inside the woman, I believe that it is the woman's decision and right to decide what is to happen with her body. …show more content…
What is to happen to them? Abortions are a personal decision for the woman and for her body. Abortions can be done because the woman may not be in a time of their life where they are ready for children (financially, emotionally, relationship/ age-wise). People often say "USE PROTECTION!" and then "IT'S YOUR FAULT", but how do you know? Contraceptives are not always 100% effective, even when combining more than one. Sex shouldn't be something people use as a fear tactic. Sex shouldn't be taught as a punishment. Additionally, the growing fetus may be physically harming the woman or girl or destructive to itself. And to add to the original point, 14,000 abortions have been a result of rape or incest. If you were to place yourself in that womans shoes, how much would you hate yourself to be forced to carry your assaulters
