Why Abortion Is Wrong
How would you feel, if you were the innocent baby in that mother’s womb, who would be killed by someone else’s decision, without any say so? Millions of babies go through this worldwide each year. Abortion is wrong for many reasons. For example, abortion is murder, abortion is unsafe and painful for both the mother and baby, and abortions reduce the number of adoptable babies. The killing of an innocent human being is wrong. Abortion is a sustainable subject in society and should not be legal.

One of the obvious reasons abortion is wrong is the fact that it is murder. The Bible does not point out differences between a fetus and a baby. God knows of you before you are even thought of by your parents. By the time a baby is conceived he or she is already known by god. The ten commandments were written in order to guide the human race to do no wrong. One of the commandments states “ You shall not murder”. Abortion

“Out of the 42 million abortions yearly, about 68,000 women will die of unsafe abortions and 5 million will suffer with health complications”(medreviews.com). Why would you take your baby’s life and risk yours as well? Many abortions have the mother doing actions like drinking bleach or inserting things inside her body to kill the baby. While this solves the mother’s problem, it also risks her life by causing poisoning or internal bleeding. “The main causes of death from unsafe abortions are hemorrhage, infection, sepsis, and genital trauma”(medreviews.com). Many abortions are done by women who have other children and either can’t afford another child or don’t want another child. If they perform an unsafe abortion, it increases their chances of complications. “Deaths of mothers leave 220,000 children motherless”(medreviews.com). This number is sad and therefore leaves more children without maternal love. Abortions will always be unsafe to the mother and puts lives at risk every

Abortion is murder of an innocent life, and it is completely wrong in every way. There is no justification that could cover the fact that we are murdering our most defenseless human beings, and if anything we should be doing everything to protect them and keep them safe from danger, but yet some are doing the complete opposite. Abortion should never be an option, and one should never feel like abortion is the only choice because it is not the only choice. Why Abortion Is Immoral

Why Abortion Is Immoral was written by Don Marquis. His thesis is described in the title. He started off by establishing some historical facts about abortion. According him there were no laws prohibiting abortion in the United States until well into the 19th century. By the 20th century every state passed laws to prohibit it. In 1973 in the case Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that the laws outlawing abortion violated women’s rights to privacy. He then implies that the legal status of abortion could possibly change in the near future. Marquis believes that the crucial moral question about abortion is “Do we have the same reasons not to kill a fetus that we have not to kill an adult?” He believes it’s wrong because it deprives them of their future. According to Marquis, abortion is seriously immoral with rare exceptions.…

There are several types of unsafe abortions, usually they are done by people without formal training or it either takes place in unhygienic facilities. Some women try to perform self abortions by taking strong substances or drugs, or by inserting foreign objects into their bodies. There is also surgical abortion such as vacuum aspiration or dilation and evacuation and it is usually the only option after 9 weeks. 48% of abortions are done on women for no good reason, there is no health risk or anything else that would require an abortion and that should be illegal. For a long time people thought that fetuses aren't capable of feeling pain but we were wrong, fetuses are capable of feeling pain by 9 weeks. Most abortions are performed by the sixth or twelfth week of pregnancy. Women can abort a baby up to 26 weeks. “Although each single type of birth defect is rare, taken together they make up almost 5 percent of all live births and cause about 20 percent of infant deaths in the period immediately after birth.” (Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia). Doctors can tell if there will be a birth defect as soon as the first trimester. Should the mother choose not to put that child through a life time of pain, she should not have to. The mother should have the choice to have an abortion. Safety is also a big part of abortion, if a mother is to try and abort the baby without a doctor it can cause damage to the fetus that would cause a birth defect. “Unsafe abortion is one of the four main causes of maternal mortality and morbidity.” (Safe Abortion: Technical and Policy Guidance for Health Systems. 2nd edition.) And “Every year, about 47 000 women die from complications of unsafe abortion.” Unsafe abortions are dangers for the fetus, and the mother as well. Where there are few restrictions on access to safe abortion, deaths and illness are dramatically…

Abortion, the easiest way to fix one’s mistakes. If one is going to be promiscuous, why should they have to be responsible for the outcome? Why not just murder the unborn child. That is what goes on daily, the slaughtering of young, innocent children, that if born, would easily find a home. What did they, the unborn children do wrong? Nothing, it’s just that the mother and/or father are just so lazy and irresponsible that they would rather see their child be butchered than to have to change its diaper or feed it. Most of society today does not respect life and therefore accepts the murdering of unborn children.…

Abortion is defined as: "the termination of pregnancy and expulsion of an embryo or of a fetus that is incapable of survival." However, if only the debate over the abortion issue was as simple as the definition provided above. Much like every aspect of human life, a statement is neither right nor wrong, but simply left open for interpretation. There is no black and white in life, only gray areas. Some issues tend to provide us more gray areas than others. Abortion is a prime example of that. Those who refute abortion claim that it is the murder of a helpless baby who has not yet had the chance to live and function as a human being. However, the debate opposite it is just as fervent: it is a woman 's right to choose what happens to her body, and if she decides that she is not capable of bringing a child into this world, than she shouldn 't be forced to out of nature. Where do we draw the line between humane and inhumane, necessitated death and murder? When does a woman 's right over her internal reproductive organs become that of the government 's? Is abortion wrong or is it right? Are rape, incest, and potential fatality to the mother exceptions when abortion is "okay"? Are there truly any at all? So many questions are raised by such a fervent debate, that we must look at both sides of the issue to better understand it in a general, but yet thorough approach.…
