This summer I got to go to to Wisconsin Dells, and got to stay there for a week. Early in the morning we all woke up at 4:00 am and we brushed our teeth, got everything packed up in the car and we left. I took 4 hours to get there, we arrived at the dells at 10 am. We stayed at Mt. Olympus and they had their own private water park, indoor water park, a public water park, and an amusement park.
They had huge water slides, they had this huge pick one, you would go sliding down so fast and then there was this ramp that you went on, after you came down that slide you would go up the ramp and back down. I think there was a total of 26 water slides. Also there was this huge wave pool, one wave pool have only one wave at a time but that wave was

The best trip I have ever went on was when my family and I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. My aunt was getting married and my mom’s side of the family was invited to come. We got to go on this vacation last February. We left very early one morning and we went to the airport. It was very cold and the air was very dry. We got to the airport in Sioux Falls and we went through security and waited to get on the plane. Once we finally got on the plane I was very excited to get there. We had a connection in Minneapolis and we had a direct flight from Minneapolis all the way to Punta Cana. Once we finally got to Punta Cana, we were getting off the plane and I could feel the humid, warm air. We had to wait in a very long line to go through customs. After that, we got on a taxi that took us to our resort. The roads in the Dominican Republic are not much different from the roads in the U.S. They still had stop lights, billboards, and the same traffic rules. One big difference we saw on the way to the…

One memory was at a home game, the gym was completely packed full of fans that supported Mesa university and the rival team, the Cardinals. Each year the two teams go to 5 five games, that are too close to call. The intensity in each one of the girls faces radiate and rub off onto the crowd. Mesa won the first two matches with little effort, then for the first time in the entire game the other girls started to hit the ball with power. The ball was bouncing off the blocks, out of bounds, serves were being served into the net. The team was falling apart. After the last time out was called and the…

I live in DeMotte with my Mom and Step-Dad. My real father lives in Ohio. I only get to see my actual dad three times a year. I see him in fall, spring, and summer. Obviously, I saw him this summer, and this time I was staying with him for a week. This was the first time I stayed this long at his house before. Although he lives in Ohio, and is only two hours away from Sandusky, he’d never experienced Cedar Point either. We didn’t explore the roller-coaster portion of Cedar Point, we went to the smaller segment called Cedar Pointe Shores. That’s just the highlight of the trip, though.…

It was a crisp cold fall day at Lambeau field. I could see everything that was happening the whole entire time. The field was as green as a tree in the middle of Summer. The cold wind was whistling in my ear. The smell the hot dogs, burgers, and turf from the field filled my nose as the game begin. All I could hear were people cheering on the Packers and the jumbotron blaring, “Go pack go!” I could see the running back Eddie Lacy drive the ball into the end zone and everyone went wild. A mix people cheering and screaming filled my ears. After the opposing team returned the ball everyone started cheering, “Defense, defense, defense!” The watched the ball get intercepted and run down the field for another touchdown! The crowd roared and I got…

Everyone has their own community or organization for which they belong to. Within that community you tend to find who you are and what you are about. For me I found my identity in being an outdoors man. Being an outdoors man at my young age seems to be rare at this day, but that doesn’t prevent me from doing something I love and appreciate. Growing up with my family full of avid outdoors men helped influence me and only made my identity stronger.…

I've never been an "outdoors" experience kind of person. Maybe, it's because I'm very sedentary and prefer to stay inside to read and enjoy tranquility. I avoid all types of chaos and crowded places. Nevertheless, my visit to the Camuy River Cave Park (back in 2004) was refreshing and enriching in knowledge, historically, scientifically and spiritually. That experience brought the best out of me, as a human being and a nature lover, by giving the chance of experiencing a whole new level of peace and tranquility.…
