Personal Narrative: My Trip To The Bahamas
Going on a vacation is something we all look forward to, especially when you get to spend time with family and experience something unique. My family and I go to the beaches in Florida every summer and spend time relaxing and enjoying our time together, away from school and work. To get away from our normal plans, we decided to book a cruise for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had never taken a cruise and thought it would be a unique experience to share with one another and a way to see a place we had never visited, the Bahamas. My trip to Nassau, Bahamas was a great experience and led to the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, the beaches. I spent two days on a cruise ship and I thought that was the highlight of my vacation, until I arrived in Nassau and saw the beautiful beaches. The boat ride to Nassau, Bahamas was a unique experience. The rooms were small but we made it work for my family of four. There was a 24-hour ice cream bar that we went to every day! The ice cream was a cool treat when we felt overheated. My cousin came on the trip and that made it even more fun because we all get along so well and we have a great time together. We spent a lot of time at the pool and played plenty of games to keep us busy. The cruise was full of adventure and …show more content…
The sand was softer, the water was clearer, and there was something about the air that lets you know you’re in paradise. While sitting on the beach, I could only describe the scene as breathtaking. There were no clouds, just the bright shining sun beating down on us. The water was unforgettable. It was so clear that I could see the sand at the bottom and fish swimming. It was November and starting to get cold back home, but the water was so warm that it felt like summer. I could hear the water crashing into the nearby rocks and birds flying over us looking for food. Children were playing, laughing, and building sand

Imagine starting a race twenty minutes after the other participant, this gives them a head start hence lowering your chances to vanquish your opponents in the race. This example applies to real-life issues like the people born in high and stable economic situations. Their probability to succeed in life is higher than those indigenous from third-world countries. Panama faces this problem and I have no doubt a change can be achieved and I can be the one who does it because everyone deserves the chance to succeed if they try hard. During last year, I had the chance to be elected as coach and teach a group of teenage boys, the fundamentals of soccer; what I did not realize was that this experience was going to change me completely.…

For the first and last few days of my trip to Haiti, I will be staying with a house family in Delmas 83. Their house is roughly a twenty minute drive from the Port-au-Prince International Airport and around a forty minute drive from the orphanage I will be volunteering at. There are many museums, markets, craft villages, art galleries, restaurants, and shops local to the areas that I plan on staying in throughout my trip. There, I can meet and talk with individuals native to Haiti.…

We traveled to the Caribbean and visited 7 islands, I got to witness the way they live life there and the different culture as well, not to mention how beautiful it was there.I remember when we went to Saint Kitts island my siblings and grandparents went swimming and, at that time, I had tubes in both of my ears so I had to wear this headband thing to protect them from the water. Because of the headband, I had a rather noticeable sunburn line on my forehead for the next week but it was all worth it for that experience. I learned a lot on that trip, like how they dock the boat and tie it down, banana plants, how friendly the people are there, nature there, and much more. I also observed people living in poverty, who didn’t have the latest and greatest gadgets. Ever since I have tried to never take living in America in a middle-class family for…

One morning a long time ago, my mom woke me up early. “It’s time to go,” she said. Go, go where I asked? “Today, we are moving to Florida,” she said. My big brown eyes began to fill up with hot salty tears. I don’t want to go, I said over and over again. You and your sibling are going to be moving to Florida with me. Again, I cried aloud, I don’t want to go. Who will take care of me? Where will I sleep? And what will I eat and drink? Consequently, all of my pleas for mercy to reside longer with my daddy was ignored, and apparently fell on deaf ears.…

Being out in the middle of the ocean on a “magical” cruise ship is my definition of perfection. Disney World is known to be the most magical place in this world but that also holds true with the Disney Cruise Line. I have personally been on five cruises, and all have been with Disney, and I have never enjoyed myself more than being on those boats. Disney Cruise Line has a total of four ships and each have their own distinctive design, with beautiful gold swirls on the sides. Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and the Disney Fantasy were all created specifically with families in mind. There is no other cruise line I would rather be on than the Disney. Over the years, many things have changed about a cruise, but I have never had a bad experience. Each trip on a Disney cruise ship has been an…
