As a Registered Dietitian, I will constantly be communicating with others from a face to face standpoint and putting my oral communication to the test, when communicating with fellow peers, or patients. I will also most likely be giving presentations to those who want to learn more about nutrition in the community, where I would have visuals available as some people find visuals to be easier understood, while at the same time, once again working on oral communication from a presenters point of view. And with technology being such a major role in everyone's lives, there is no doubt that electronic will play a major role in my future job, as a Registered Dietitian. Electronic communication will be something that I will use everyday, such as calling, E-mailing, and maybe even texting those who I need to get a hold of, whether it be patient or peer. Not only will I use electronic communication in this way, but I plan on using it also as a means of business. I believe that both of these assignments offer virtually the same learning target and that as a class you could spend less time on these ideas to focus more on other things. Besides the Argument of Mediation Assignment, by far my favorite assignment was the Family Recipe. That is not just because it was the shortest assignment, and didn't take hours of planning and rewriting, but because as a student I finally felt like I could be creative. The whole reason I ever enjoyed writing back in middle school, was because we were given fun prompts to follow, and were able to write our own stories, instead of following a strict regimen that is nowhere near as opportunistic as such. In college we as students are living on our own, and given this sense of freedom and I wish I had gotten the chance in English 250 to have the opportunity to be much more of a creative writer, with a storytelling assignment, or something along those
