As a humans we all have to experience certain situations in life, in order to figure out what we like and dislike. I can honestly say I’ve had my fair share of situations. I started working at Samsung call center as a full time employee. The job had excellent benefits, and room for growth and advancement. While I was working there I thought it was what I wanted, but as time progressed I realized it may not be for me. I had been out of school for 2 years when I accepted this job, so I wasn’t quite sure as to what career path I wanted to take. My decision at the time was to work full time and remain productive with that. Sometime you have to make a few changes within in yourself in order to grow as a person. In elementary school, I had always been shy and never had more than one or two friends. I spent most of my time with my nose in a book, and outside playing in the dirt with my animals. Before I went into high school I felt like the bonds I had made with fictional character was enough. Then something changed and eating lunch with my book wasn’t enough anymore. I had a new goal; to make a friend that would last me all through high school. I tried to get as academically involved as possible by joining various clubs. I had hoped this would bring me out of my shell and also spark a friendship or two. I joined clubs such as Debate club, vet club, student government, newspaper, and any other club I found out about, but none…

Originally, as seen in the annotated bibliography, (as seen in Appendix A) I planned to do a weekly plan of all the tasks that I had to complete that week (as seen in Figure two). However, I quickly realised, I did not flexibility with this approach, my weeks became extremely tedious and repetitive, which ultimately meant that I would not follow the plan. I instead developed the aforementioned daily plan which gave me more flexibility, as day by day, I could develop the plan in association with what needs to be done. As some mind numbing tasks have an effect on a person, it meant that I was also able to accommodate to what I was mentally able to do that day. I did however, maintain the colour scheme, and the layout of the original learning plan, which meant it was easy to see what types of tasks needed to be completed (as seen in figure one),…

Compared to building pools in the heat of the summer, working in an air conditioned building is heaven. The best job I've ever had was working as a dealer at Ace's Casino. What I liked so much about my job was I could manage my hours, work around my schedule. The money was good enough to raise my kids on my own and give them a nice home. Going into work and being able to meet all the diverse people was really interesting, which is great for networking and meeting new friends. Finally, when I would get off of work in the morning, I usually wouldn't be that tired so I can stay up and spend some time with my girls before I headed off to bed.…

At the age of 12, my sister was diagnosed with Type 1, Juvenile Diabetes. I was only 7 years old, so I didn’t really understand what happened. All I can remember is crying because my sister was in pain and I hated to see her laying in that hospital bed. Every month we had to take a trip to Duke Children’s Hospital for her to see the diabetes specialist. For the most part, she keeps it under control and wears an insulin pump to take her medicine. After that experience, I considered my sister a warrior. As with my brother, I admired my sister. I wanted to do everything she did. She got good grades in school and stayed out of trouble for the most part. There were a couple of calls home, but it was because she wanted to hang with the wrong people.…
