After sitting at the same desk for three years, I figured I was beyond seeing anything new. I was wrong. It was the beginning of the school year and I was hoping I would pass twelfth grade so I could try to go to college but right now chances looked slim. I am the classic couch potato, plump like a pig and lazy, that was why I couldn't pass. Over time I began to realize that I would need to alter my ways or I would spend a miserable life. At the age of Fifteen i lost my father, not knowing how to react i became coy and detached from school. It was Junior year where i realized that i was, in many ways, hurting myself. Gradually i became more friendly and cared more about my academics. One day at lunch while i was eating alone, a guy named Greg came up to me and started talking to me. It was the first time i felt comfortable talking to someone, without them having a clipboard in their hand, and without me laying on a couch. We spent the whole lunch time talking and after, he invited me to sit at his table with his friends.I found myself the rest of the school year engaging and becoming friends with people i never saw myself interacting with. I've learned so many things but the most important was not to be afraid to meet new people, because of that I've met so many people who i can truly say have changed my life for the better.…

But I was determined not to let my sub-par sophomore year affect the rest of my high-school career as a football player.…

It all happened at the end of 4th grade, it was the beginning of football season and it was my 3th year playing so I thought I was a star but bradley thought otherwise. Me and Brantley hated each other he would do anything to get me in trouble, one time when we were running to warm up for practice he fell on purpose and told the coaches that I’m the one who made him fall and they made me run the rest of practice for not taking anything serious and playing around too much. The next day I hated Bradley more than ever since my feet and my legs still felt like I had 1000 pound weights attached to them from the other day for running so long. I wanted revenge but I had no idea what I should do. My first thought was to truck him a little bit after…

My senior year started off just like in movies I was the star football player that got everything handed to him. I made good grades; all of my teachers liked me. Basically, life was great. My parents stopped giving me money and told me I would have to get a job. I always thought jobs were pointless you bust your tail to receive minimum wage plus I was in football season so I surely wasn’t getting a job. These things started to get to…

Over this past summer, I experienced a lot of events that I think will change my life for the better. It seemed like everything started falling in place when I got an unexpected call from a college coach from a small school called Samford University. I was shocked that I received the call because for one, I’d never even heard of the school he was calling from. Also, I never actually played a full game of football in high school.…
