One of the most important things that people can't live without is music. Friedrich Nietzsche - a German philosopher, once said : 'Without music, life would be a mistake.' First of all, we must know the definition of music. According to Wikipedia, music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound organized in time. The common elements of music are pitch, rhythm, dynamics and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. No one knows exactly when music existed. Some people even say that it really did exist long before the existence of humans. I bet that you have at least once wondered : ' how could people listen to music in the old days, when the listening devices hadn't existed ? '. Nowadays, we have both live music and digital music, which we can listen and download from streaming music services. We can not only listen to anything, anywhere we like, but also listen freely. According to Nielsen's music 360 2014 study, 93% of the U.S population listens to music, spending more than 25 hours each week listening to their favourite tunes. 75% of Americans say they prefer listening to music to watching TV. we spend most of our spare time to jam out to music, 25% in the car, 15% at work and 15% while doing housework. Music is really vital in life. There are some main reasons to prove it. Firstly, music is the key to creativity. Music fuels the mind and stimulates our creativities. Scientific researches all show that both listening and playing music stimulate our brains and increase memories. People who can play instruments are better at studying than the others. Plus, listening to instrumental music or classical music challenges one to comprehend and tell the story about what he hears. For instance, i love feeling the piano beats, especially whenever i'm stressful, tired or anxious. This helps me relax and relieves all the negative feelings. And while i listen to the
