Country Music
Music is a wonderful thing. There are many different genres and types of music out there. Music helps people with different things. It can help them through the day. It could also help them through a struggle they are going through. Music can get you motivated to start the day. Music can get the blood flowing in the morning. I like all music, except for country music. There is something about country music that is annoying to me. I don't know what it is, I just really despise country music. Music also has a lot of history. According to some people the earliest forms of music would have been simple drum instruments. They were easy to make. Since there was no written music they had to memorize beats or make new ones. Then the Greek mathematician …show more content…
The types of metal I listen to are; Thrash metal, Death metal, Nu metal, Melodic metal, Rap metal, Alternative metal, and sometimes Christian metal. All of the other types are way too dark and devilish for my tastes. I draw the line at slipknot. That is the darkest I go. If you have listened to them before you probably think, how much darker can you go? Trust me it can get a lot darker. I'm not going to get into details on how much darker you can go, because i'll probably get kicked out of school. The one thing that irritates me the most is, not all metal is dark and brutal. Not all bands worship satan. I know crazy right? Killswitch-engaged and Bullet for my valentine are bands that write about life and emotions. Not pentagrams or sacrifices to the devil. The music they write is like poetry. Sometimes about love, other times about sadness. Just like any other music out there. The reason why I like metal is because I grew up on the classic metal bands. Like Metallica and Megadeth. My dad was and is a huge Metallica fan. So when you grow up around that it stays with you forever. In middle I started to expand my music. I found the nu metal and melodic metal groups. Metal that my generation listens to. Middle school was rough for me. Metal helped me get through alive. It expanded my mind and gave me some hope. Not all metal is bad. Another thing, if you can't understand what they are saying, you must be deaf. I can understand them perfectly fine. I am not going to name my favorite bands because there are too many to

Music has a number of purposes and it has been used throughout the world for centuries. Our fore-parents have had the pleasure of listening to, and probably being a part of the use of music, although the music we know today may not necessarily be what they used long ago. Music way back from our ancestors may have entailed the use of rocks, sticks etc. Drums were later introduced and as time went on we have the pleasure of having instruments like guitars, violins, piano, flutes and many more included so that what we hear today sounds like heaven on earth. One thing, for sure in which scholars believe, is that the purpose music served long ago is not the same as today.…

Music has been around since the beginning of mankind. The earliest form of music was played by prehistoric people, and those people typically used bones to make instruments. Scientists have found that those instruments were most likely used as a tradition to the prehistoric people. Music was probably passed down from one generation to the next, and it was also something that created a bond. The bonds created back with cavemen birthed a sense of togetherness through emotion and socialization. Still today, music continues to structure and bond society together in a way that is incredibly unique, because it overlooks ethnicity, religion, and arguments (Black). Music has a way to break down walls that people build. It creates a sense of vulnerability that is irreplaceable in friendships, relationships, and life. Many would argue that…

Growing up I was always told to stay from metal music because it was deemed as devil’s music and for a long time I believed it. Fast forward to today where I cannot imagine my life without heavy metal music. I will admit the first time I listened to metal was a scary experience. The music was something I have never heard before and all the preconceived notions I believed were true. However, instead dismissing the music as satanic I decided to look into it and see what this noise truly was. What I found was, the lyrics were the most intricate use of words I have ever heard, incredible musicianship, and thousands upon millions of loyal fans. Metal has always been there to help through all the frustrations and angst I have built up and it has never disappointed me. I am forever a metal head. I will continue to head bang until I dislocate my neck while flashing the devil horns. And I will continue to defend metal until the day I die.…
