P1: Describe the role internet marketing has within a modern marketing context.

D-reizen

D-travel is a nationwide chain of travel agencies in The Netherlands with headquarters in Hoofddorp. The chain is part of the Cooperative Dirk van den Broek. Recently, D-D also launched travel accommodation; this is a new marketplace for private owners who wish to rend out their homes.

D-travels 1.350 employees throughout the country working in over 170 locations. They also have a call center in Breda.

Product: D-reizen provide service with products like booking vacations, flight tickets, hotels and other things like renting cars, parking service, taxi service, train tickets, travel books, holiday insurance, ski sets and magazines.

Price: For all the products, D-reizen got different prices. But now and then they got special deals. As example; Book now for Turkey and pay €99,- instead of €299,-.

Promotion: D-reizen makes use of different kind of promotions. They promote by big posters hanging by the bus stations, making TV-commercials, advertising in different kind of magazines and promote a lot on the internet.

People: There are more than 1.000 employees at D-reizen travel agency. If you want to work at the agency, you have to have a passion for vacation and be oriented and informal. The employees that are working at the agency they go a lot of responsibility, because D-reizen finds it important that you can continue to develop in your field or grow into leadership.

Processes: If you are looking for an vacation, you can book it by yourself. This you can do it by go surf on the website and follow the instuctions. But if you don't know how it works and you want some advice of one of the employees you can go to the nearest D-reizen and they are willing to help you out to book a vacation.

Physical evidence: As soon as you enter one of the D-reizen travel agency, you see that there's a children play area on one of the corners and right next to it a table
